Mitsubishi Heavy Industries 18G or the Deadbolt 18G. I know the deadbolts have an excellent rep but what is the difference? Is it like printers...canon makes 90% of them then HP and what not puts on their name.

    Feedback soon is appreciated.

The deadbolt is a reworked mitsu 18G...but, DB has several different versions.

its 'big' and 'laggy' for your 2.0.

I have seen these spooled to 21 psi by 3750 RPM with no problem...that is really only like 500 rpm later than the stockers...not exactly to bad of a trade off for an extra 125-150 hp.

Heard mixed reviews on these. Some say they have no problems, others say they have issues with the water line..the hard lines. Did you ask the previous owner about any install issues?

Wait when you were selling yours it was "slightly" laggier than my vf39. Whats up is it just the MHI version?

No problems and had pics of it installed as well as out the vehicle. sucks cause my vf39 is rockin with over 300 awhp and even more torque. I really just want to get closer to the 350 with just a tad lag sacrifice.

    bump
OR a 16G specs from seller
    Forced performance
    TD05H-16G-7cm2 turbocharger
    compressor flow rating of 505cfm
    Has 1500miles

    600CFM on the 18G

which should I do both about 6 bills!

300 awhp sounds nice... I would happy with that (until I had it for a while, then I'd probably want more too)

If you try to push 350 won't you have a lot of other expenses and potential problems aside from the cost of the new turbo?

    Cheers.

No way in hell you can get 400whp from that turbo. The td05 will spool *slightly* better on a 2.0 but I wouldn't want to give up the topend of the tdo6.

    td06 18G ftw.

    GT30R or FPGreen, I would do a 20g before I did a 18g again.

A guy dynoed at BG the other day with a Super 16g and it spooled exactly....I mean exactly like the 18g did on our bugeye. We overlayed the graphs and they were exactly the same. Except that the 18g made more power.

    what you think

    is td05 18G and td06 20G am I off

I know of a new FP 20G for a bit more if the lag is not TOO much worse. Basically with my 39 I spool from a dead stop about 3300 if it will move into the 4's I do not want it if it spool about 3500 I am kewl wit it

Rick, STOP BEING A GOD DAMN PUSSY AND BUY A BIG ASS TURBO

As long as it makes full boost before 4200 it will be fine.

Now if you plan on doing a 2.5 swap you might as well get the 20g. The 18g will be on the small side for a hybrid.

superzilla 49 is what you really want ;)

if you are going to do a 2.5 swap, this should be good since it flows a tad more than a regular 20g

^^I am thinking bigger once I do a 2.5 cause it will probably be built so the 20G will be good intro. I like progression.

On second though I say screw the 18g and go real big...

The small turbo on the left is a 20g. The slightly bigger turbo is the t3/to4s

ok it looks like you have already resolved this issue, but I have only heard BAD things about turbochargers.com

stay away from them if at all possible.

With a 2.0 I plan on getting a td05 20g. Also, I heard a GM solonoid helps out spool tremendously. If I ever go to a 2.5 block, the same turbo is going to stay on it for awhile - talk about low end.

I saw a graph comparing the td05 and td06 on a 2.0 and the top end was nearly identical, but the td06 spooled much later due to the larger exhaust wheel. I'll see if I can find it.

Edit: I give up, I cannot find it anywhere... Sorry. All I can find now is a bunch of opinions.

Just so you guys know I don't have the td06 18g. I have the td05h 18g. Good enough for 11.7's @ 122 mph all day long.
