Hello my name is Mike and I have recently realized I am becoming a WRXaholic. My signs were endlessly reading about more and more information regarding the WRX and the incredible number of mods that can be performed on them. Thought I would take a minute and answer the questions listed in the recommended intro. Please be kind as my spelling is sometimes poor! Yes I have a college degree, but it never required passing a spelling class...that is what spellcheck is for!!

    1. Where do you live?

    Lake Lanier Area

    2. What do you preferred to be called (not your username)?

Mike or Sarg (last name Sargent...kinda been a natural nickname since day 1)

    3. What do you drive?

Buying a 2002 WRX Sedan next weekend.

    4. How modded is your ride?

    Stock except Sti struts/springs, up-pipe

    5. Where do you usually by parts?

Anywhere the deal and the customer service takes me!

    6. Do you visit any other local boards?

    National, not local.

    7. Show, Go, or Stock and staying that way?
    Go...always fun to surprise someone!!

    8. Do you wave to other wrx's when you see then coming towards you?

    Not yet!

    9. Where did you find out about WRXatlanta?

    Friend Ken refered me!

If anyone has anything that they feel is important that I should know about the WRX aside from the weak gears in the 02-late 03 please feel free to tell me!!! I am still a subie noobie!

Turns out it will be a 2003 WRX with a full turbo back, an up-pipe, cobb stage 2 and a nice stereo. Exhaust is TurboXS. Sounds good, not too loud. There seems to be much more "turbo noise" in this one than the ones with stock exhaust. I would guess from the catless up-pipe. I am planning on buying it on Monday when the bank opens up. Gears seem good, quiet. It is QUICK!!

Well now the proud owner of a 2003 WRX sedan. Mods so far are a TurboXS Up pipe and TBE, Cobb Stage 2 and a STi style spoiler. To the best of my knowledge that is all that has been done other than some speakers and a crappy pair of subs that will be gone soon.

cobb you can find used for around $450, maybe less on nasioc, TBE; dependes if used or new, UP, gut the stock one....

doesn't your car already have a TBE though? i think i remember it not sounding stock when i heard it at chili's about a month ago...or was that kevin's car?

Bought the car with them. I just started playing around with the cobb...can't seem to get it to cooperate with my laptop though...I have to use a serial to USB adapter, but it has worked with my wife's 05 mustang predator tuner. I guess I need to talk to cobb tech support.
