PS3's are hitting over $2500 easy on ebay. I saw one earlier go for $3500. If you can grab one, you can feed your mod habit pretty good.
Niiiice... I am waiting until a) the panic dies down, and b) GT:HD is out... What games are you getting with it?
Tonight at midnight is the release. It will be sold out nation wide by 12:30. That is as it becomes 12:30 in each time zone.
only some stores are opening at 12, most are opening at 8. i hpoe to be making this a very merry christmas for myself.
Still, estimates have about 250K PS3's in the US. The rest of the 400K are in Canada. I think I may walk into Best Buy middle of next week and get a Wii.
this one went for 30k. might be a very merry Christmas indeed. http://cgi.ebay.com/SONY-PLAYSTATIO...1QQihZ017QQcategoryZ62054QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem look at the bid history. http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=270054974671
waaaay too much money for me...right now the only thing i use my xbox 360 for is to watch sopranos season 5. i can't remember the last time i played a game on it.
I played a PS3 the other day and really enjoyed it. Sad thing is that the display screen SUCKS! Ghosting all the time, though it did give the game a "speed warp" feeling. However I would like to have one, just don't want to pay the money. Going back tomorrow to play with a Wii, and zune(again).
I heard on G4 that most of the good cars/content you actually have to purchase online. They estimated being able to spend an extra $400-$1000 for all the extra goodies in GT HD.
I just got back from walmart by my hosue. Hoping to buy one but they only got 6 and all were already presold. The 6 people were there already waiting.
I spotted some folks camping outside of the Circuit City on Cobb Pkwy last evening. Craziness! I tried to offer them my wife's and my Chipotle take out for a spot in line, but they simply laughed at me and told me to go away.
i want a full write up on it after you get rid of the cold you got from waiting for it, lol. congrats you a-hole.
heh, im so tired now i cant really think, but ill type the whole thing later today, it was pretty hectic at the end of it. PS i ofcourse have it forsale if anyone is intereted and a friend of mine also has one.
30 straight hours of work for $500? Doesn't seem worth it to me. If you wanted it to play...but to go through all that just to sell it:nuts: Not trying to bash you...just crazy! At least to me it is...
Suposedly someone at buckhead bestbuy sold thier spot for $3000. Their spot and then then the person who took the spot had to sleep there overnight and then pay for the system. People are crazy nowadays.
Now that people have them though, how many will actually sell for that price? I would imagine the first handful will go for that amount, but after that...of course, I have underestimated the general stupidity of Ebayers before...
I think he plans on selling it for a little more then $500. Price gouging on these things are so nuts, makes my jaw drop. I bet he could easily get $2000 for it on fleaBay. EDIT: Whoa, as I was typing this, 3 others posted and just killed what I was gonna say.
I was suggesting a $500 profit as he already had to pay either $499 or $599. Anyways, I am not bashing Alex, just saying I wouldn't have done it. Props to him for carrying through on something he wanted to do though...
It's simple economics, not price gouging. The supply is severely limited and the demand is huge. These may go for much more the closer to Christmas. http://search.ebay.com/sony-ps3_W0QQfromZR41
http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-Playstatio...054QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item320049350620 This one is up to 10K with just seconds left...I wonder how many of these bids are real?!? Edit: A quick review of the bids shows the last two bidders, who drove the price up 7K had little to no feedback and the winning bidder had a negative "refused to pay" entry.... Another update: Take a quick look at the auctions. Seems there are a few people out there trying to ruin the bidding. Just a heads up for those planning to sell. Seems like every auction has some joker bidding 5 to 10 times in a row and driving the price up a couple grand. 0 or minimal feedback of course...
Someone said you had to have a eBay feedback of 50 or more to sell the PS3 online. If not they will cancel your auction.
Yeah, I heard this also. Guess they don't want some Newb selling the PS3 Display Box Only, for $3500 like someone did with the XBox 360 launch.
That's one way of explaining it, but its actually a bit of price diffusion with a concern for capacity. If you're interested, I could write some more
I waited out in Peachtree City for 2 nights outside a Best Buy. On Thursday night we caught a lot of flak from people walking into the store, and random kids driving by laughing at us and what not. Funny thing is, it's probably their mom who is buying it from me for $3000 on eBay Craig (Still very tired and very cold)
Hey Craig...What's happening Bro???. I haven't seen you on the boards in a while...How is school treating you?. Mark
