Hard to see but it is zip ties. About 2 weeks and no signs of shaking, moving, or rattling!!!

Well done! I just removed that bracket on the turbo side and left it bolted to only the other side. :)

Looking at how off that thing is, I don't think you could easily drill it and make it stay; there'd be virtually no 'meat' to hold it in place left. Maybe a thin steel bracket that offsets the hole a bit might work though.

If the IC can move around a bit it can help unsettle the hoses, yeah.

guess I've just been lucky then (my STI isn't attached to the brackets)....but I'll keep an eye out for any possible leak in the future...thanks....

    if it was me
I would try to bend the bracket out on both sides and see if the hole lines up if not then I will move the driver side as far as possible and slot the passenger side hole (first remove the threaded tacked on nut on the bracket) slot the hole from fender side to the center line of the car. then use a bolt, washers and nut to hold it down

That is what I did Ming. I bent the bracket a bit (does nt take much) and then drilled out the intercooler bracket a little. Worked like a charm. It is now a real tight fit and a pain in the arse to get lined up just right, but it works and no rattles.
