Weird noise, sounds like a leak...give it a listen.

I noticed this about a week ago, it happens on cold starts, it happens when it is both cold and warm outside, but it doesn't always happen...it goes away when the engine is warm, but it doesn't sound like "normal" suby noise.

Just to be clear on what you are listening for...it's the psst psst psst psst psst psst. It is on the driver side of the engine, and loudest around the AC compressor. My turbo is hitting peak boost, and there is no fluctuation in the vacuum pressure.

    any ideas?

yeah, kind of like a small compressor.

It happens with the ac/defrost off as well.

turn the AC on and off and see if it goes away or changes
it may be the compressor clutch

That was what I was getting at...

I already checked that, the sound does not change with the ac on or off...it does change with engine revs though, speeding up and slowing down with the revs.

Sounds like an intake or exhaust leak, kinda hard to tell on video...have you pulled your Ic to check all the hoses and such?

its hard to tell with the sound quality...but I think its going to be belt related.

Can you hear it more at the front or back of the engine? Top sde or under the car? Been over any big bumps or bottomed out lately?
