I am hearing a click or knock like sound coming from my front end. I only hear it when i am pulling out of a parking space. I was at the parts store geting some oil, i backed out of the parking space, wheel turned to the right. then turned back to the left as i start to pull forward towards the exit.. i hear it. At my complex i always back in my spot. I pull forward turn to the right and as i stighten out the wheel i hear it. Only times i hear it are after i have been parked I dont hear it when pulling off and turning from a stop light or stop sign after driving for a bit. Any ideas ?

where is it coming from? near the wheels? any mods installed recently?

if its a snapping sound, it could simply be one of the springs... if its a tapping sound, it could be that your axle nut has come loose... one way to diagnose it would be to drive around in first gear and modulate the gas pedal to keep switching from accel to decel and back a few times... if u hear the click on every change, i'd try tightening the axle nut

Sounds could be from the steering as well, especially if you are turning your wheel to the max when backing in and out. I don't know if you have wide wheels or anything, but you could have rubbing issues from that. If your stock, then that isn't the case. Make sure you have fluid in your steering resevoir also.

I also had issues with my exhaust when. When I would have the car in reverse and under load, the midpipe would knock against one of the driveline brackets.

Get a friend and have them pull your car out in the same manner while you listen from outside the car so you can hear exactly where its coming from.

Its more of a snap. And no mods recently. I do have 225/50's on the stock wheels, no evidence of them rubbing or hiting anything when i turn the wheel. I dont even have to turn the wheel all the way when it does it.Checked the fliud and it is fine. This morning i listened for it and it didnt do it.Didnt do it when leaving work either today. I'm geting new tires put on this weekend, i'll have them check around under there.

Do you have lowering springs? On my bugeye, my springs would seat and unseat at low speeds (especially when navigating a parking lot) and make some pretty bad popping noises when I was turning the wheel. Just a thought...

I am getting a pop from my front left when I go to brake (not when I accelerate though). It seems to occur both at low speed and high speed breaking. I am not entirely sure what it is, but I am certain I will have a diagnosis soon enough!

Suspension is stock. I'm wondering too if it is the brakes . I did change the pads not to long ago. I listened for it last night again but it didnt do it. I'll try touching the brakes right after i pull off today and see if it does it.

Did you seat the pads when you installed them?

If its the breaks the nosie will probaly go away when the pads were down. But I have no idea with the JIC all the way stiff my wagon makes all sort of nosie!
