Sounds great, but I'll most likely be going the weekend before with Panoz. Having an instructor ride along certainly would be nice though - probably help knock a few seconds off my lap times.

I did the BMWCCA driver school once as a member. You can joing the BMWCCA even if you don't drive a Bimmer. I learned about it from a guy who drives Mustangs, and I had my WRX. My instructor was driving an Audi. If you join the CCA, you get first dibs at slots on the track day. You also get a discount on the cost. Do a track day and one of their autocrosses, and you will pay for your membership, IIRC.

Where are the Barber track days listed?

Here is their events page, click on the red links to find out if you can register for the DE's. All of them are hosted by other clubs. It's not like Road Atlanta's Panoz track days.

Interesting comment. What's your association with the VW gang? Also, I just checked the schedule and saw the the VW event you spoke of is an R32 track day. I'm probably going to list mine for sale this weekend. Do you know of anyone interested in a pristine DBP R32 with 17K miles. Would I be able to get on the grounds at Barber with a "For Sale" sign?

The VW event was open to 32 people for the track time but I would think you can roll in and hang. I've been to other DEs there and they (Barber) never made a big deal about it. Check the thread at VWVortex in the MKIV R32 forum for better info. I'm only going there to help out the organizer, VW Driver Magazine.

As for my association with the VW gang...I haven't been dürty in three years so I guess there isn't any.

Yeah, I found the thread on vwvortex this am right after I posted. Probably not much of a market there since most everyone there will already own an R. Would be cool to see that many in one place though.

I'd like to get $28,500 - that's what it's listed for in autotrader. I'll knock $500 off for a wrxatlanta member. Let me know if you want more details. I can send you pics. It only has 17K miles and is in perfect condition.
