I just saw pictures, I'm sure he'll post some at some point. Looks like a truck randomly decided to pull out and turn into him and his front driver 1/4 panel. He's alright, but that's another scoob down for the count :crying:

Yeah, he doesnt post much. He does lurk though. I will be sure to pass the msg. I went out this morning and looked at the damage...it's pretty hideous. The hood can maybe be pounded out, but that front quarter panel is gone, as well as the front left headlight. Pumper looked sorta pushed down, but it looks fine. It is just scratched.
Thats it!!! My cars staying parked....kinda sucks cuz I enjoyed driving her...:crying: Whats the count up 2 now? 4 crashes, 2 hail damage, chunks of metal hit my hood....crazyness!!!
Before my accident, my sti took a ball bearing to the windshield (highway), some huge chunk of metal to the hood (highway), a horribly done replaced headlamp job which scratched the FUCK out of the housing and the socket (classic subaru), dents to the roof (acorns), attempts to jack my wheels (theft), etc. Atlanta is a horrible place for a car
First of all, I want to thank everyone for their concern and for the private messages making sure that I'm ok. Fortunately, no one in either car was hurt. My front quarter panel is pretty bashed up as you can see from the pictures, and fortunately (or unfortunately maybe) the bottom of his frame started right where my wheel began so he pretty much ran over my car and probably missed 99% of the suspension and definitely the frame. Anyway, Alex is uploading a lot of the pics so I don't have to attach them all... They can be found at: http://wrxatlanta.com/misc/kevin/ But here's what happened: I was in the far right lane heading back to Tech, and this guy was in the second lane. We were right next to the Wetbar and apparently he thought he should turn right, so he did. The front of my car was right next to his passenger door and he just pushed me onto the sidestreet. It's not spectacular, but it happens. The funny part is that when we were waiting for the cop we had to call like 5 times and it took over and hour and a half for them to arrive. The cop we finally got wasn't even dispatched to us, he actually pulled over some girl for something and we basically headed him off as he went back to his car and told him that we needed to get filed. So in the end, APD didn't even come to us, we had to intecept one of them =) I'm working on getting the claims and all of that filed. But, on the plus side, all of those dents and scrapes from atlanta parking lots will be repaired =) at least on the front.... Thanks again for all of the support!

man this totally sucks, it looks like you might have some structural damage but the is no way to tell untill they rip off the fender and hood. On the other hand it might be time to upgrade to a CF hood or maybe a WRC style hood, maybe some new widebody fenders, you can make something good out of something bad.
How much does a CF hood cost compared to a regular hood? My parents are really pushing me to get OEM parts put back on, but if CF is cheaper than OEM, I'll try and slide that by.
I dont know how much a stock hood is but a CF hood i believe can be had for around $400-500, i might be wrong though.
imo, the CF isnt worth it unless you want it completely for looks. You arent saving much weight versus the OEM alum. hood. But the hood is about $800 I think if my memory serves me. Fenders are like...well I could only give you the price of a STi fender....
I don't know yet, I have an insurance adjuster coming out Mon or Tues to look it over then it's going to the shop. The quarter panel is a definite replacement, I don't know about the hood, door hinges of structure under the panel. They'll probably make that decision at the shop. I'm at the point I'd rather just replace as much as possible and avoid the cost of labor to hammer out dents, repaint, sand, and seal everything. Like the hood and door, I wonder if it's easier just to buy new panels than try and hammer these out and then repaint them. I guess I'll find out soon though. Also, I need a rental car, but I'm only 21. Any suggestions on who I can get a good price and car from for an extended period of time?
from the pictures I have seen they will more than likely replace the door skin the quarter panel and the hood, all will be cheaper to replace than to hammer out and with the rental car since the accident is not your fault, the other drivers insurance has to pay for yor rental car and you only have to be 18 when its through insurance, 21 if not thrugh insurance so you shouldnt have a problem either way. but have fun driving in a car that comes no where close to the WRX. When a girl hit my RX-8 jim ellis went all out and let me get a saturn ION(it didnt even have a tape player let alone a CD player), and then they gave me a chevy cavalier which was also a piece of shit.
sounds like a dream come true ;-) But hey, I can appreciate the rex much more after a few weeks in a saturn... A guy I know somehow rented a Mazda6 when his engine ate it. I don't know where he got it from but that seems like a much more pleasing option than an ion with no tape player. I would assume it's not my choice though, but the insurance companies will make that decision when the time comes?
