I bought the header on 2/6/04. It cracked last tuesday on the way home from work. I emailed GT Spec to see what they would do. Hoping they will replace it. :sx:

It's not really big, the pipe is spring loaded and the pressure is pushing it apart in that pic.

Damn, hopefully they'll be better about warranting them than Borla with their headers.

I'm thinking they won't do anything. Sucks cuz with the OEM header back on the car, I have to remove my oil cooler...or re-plumb it as the oil lines go over the pipes.

lloks like it cracked at the welds.

Sometimes posting the problem on a webpage and send the link to the manufacturer may persuade them more than just an email.

Ill remove this post per your request if you decide to link it

Man this is a PITA. :D

Front bumper has to come off for the oil cooler to be removed....

The bolt under the turbo outlet is tight as a mofo and being a biotch to get loose/ a grip on....

DP has to come loose to remove the UP (reveal two hidden bolts)......

Good time to realign my exhasust as SoG mounted it in a way that it rubs a rear heat shield and rattles like a mofo on startup.....

Turbo oil hard line has a leak so that needs to be replaced...... part needs to be ordered....

Subaru cars suck to work on.....

    OEM parts FTW.

ZERO problems with the stock header.

Properly engineered parts specifically FOR a SUBARU...makes life easy.

Crap parts on an excellently engineered car=total crap all around.

However, your comment there at the end is totally false.

It's not false at all unless you are a Suby freak. ;)

Also, you forgot to add "IMO" to your "crap parts" statemet because that's all it is. Not all of us have the luxury to buy "engineered by STi" parts only. ;)

Honda's and VW's for that matter are 10x easier to work on IMO. Everything is easy to get to and remove, no need to take stuff off just to get to the part you are working on. Of course I weight alot more than you so that could be part of it.

The true part is the OEM manifold will be back in it's home soon. :D
