The only one on that list I listen to is Dimmu, but what type of jazz? I like some old school stuff (Coltrane, Miles, Shepp both past and more recent, Modern Jazz Quartet, Stan Getz...) but newer fusion jazz like Di Meola, Ponty etc is great too.

If you dig jazz and like a little trip-hop, hip-hop fusion check out Kosherbeets.

Listen to "Hermit Theme", "The Awakening", "Groceries"

I've been on a huge Stone Temple Pilots kick lately. I think it happened after playing Trippin' on a hole on Guitar Hero 2 :)

Most of the stuff I listen to either came out of the 90s or is a new band composed of 90s musicians. Personally, there are very few new bands (post 2000) that I find good.

So for the list (in no particular order, just as they come to me):

    Pearl Jam
    Foo Fighters
    STP
    Audioslave
    Blues Traveler
    Incubus
    Umphrey's Mcgee
    Robert Randolph
    Collective Soul
    Hootie
    Keller Williams
    Dispatch
    311
    Older DMB
    Alterbridge
    Ben Folds
    Jack Johnson
    Counting Crows

There are quite a few more, that's just a sampling. I listen to a lot of 90s alternative, jam bands, acoustic stuff, and piano driven bands. I'm also really into Jazz and Blues. I've got a pretty massive collection that I listen to while studying.

check out "Minus the Bear" and "Sorry no Ferrari" on Myspace. They're small bands with a killer beat. Also, "Anberlin" kicks ass but I don't know if they have a Myspace page....
