I need a custom mid pipe made and I need to know who can be trusted for custom exhaust work. Preferably intown cause I'm a L5P area resident. I know a lot of you guys live OTP and I'm just not driving 45 minutes + for exhaust work. Thanks for all the suggestions.

If you want good quality you can try Mainstream Performance and Turbo Dave. Some of the best custom welding I've ever seen. They're like 45 min from you tho. Most Midas's and such can do them but most likely it'll be cheap aluminum piping instead of stainless steel.

45 minutes is nothing..you could always order a new one online or check ebay. I have seen them as low as $80 and no higher than $145 for a new one. Then you could swap it in and out when ever you wanted to.

Grand Muffler is no longer owned by Buster, I can not attest to the quality of the work performed by the new people, Turbo Dave does nice exhaust work.

    Well, I can...

The new guys did the custom work on my 89 4runner 3.4 swap and a custom resonator install on the ANSA Silverline that was previously on my 02 WRX.

    The new guys are good.

Well Marc, I ended up taking your advice and going with Grand Muffler. They did a fantastic job and were really nice guys. The owner, Todd, even let me drive his supped up Mercury Marauder. He was just like "the keys are on the counter, take her for a spin." I said "uuuuuugh OK." It was pretty fast for 4500 pounds of car. Anyways, thanks again for the referral, I will now happily pass it on. See ya round.

I have an SPT cat-back, which is 3" but made to mate up to the stock downpipe which is 2.5" so it has a reducer section. I also have a Helix DP which is 3" so I had to have the reducer chopped out and a piece of 3" pipe welded in it's place so that my exhaust is now truly 3" all the way back. claro?

icic That's the real similar set up that I used to have. I might have to fabricate new exhaust system for me as well. I currently has 3" DP taper down to 2.5" and 2.25" stock mid pipe, and then out to 2.5" prodrive axleback. What's the address to grand muffler?

I woud like to get 3"-2.5" mid pipe with a resonator to quiet down the noise.
