Here's the deal guys and gals,
Technically TGP does not open for cars until March 18th. However I have an open track day on Saturday March 10th. It is mostly Georgia Tech Wreck Racing guys, but there are still 2 openings...

Here's the deal though; we are on SERIOUS probation. The grass is still trying to grow near the track and the pavement has not fully cured. Therefore, NO GOING OFF. Also, no heavy or high-powered cars, which basically means no V-8's or V-10's.

Cost for track rental for weekends is now $2600 for up to 10. However I have a deal to get 10 of us on there for $200 each.

If you are interested, let me know.

I can take Paypal for deposits. If you use paypal it's $104 for the deposit. The other $100 is due that morning.

First 2 guys with $104 to me (or a phone call to me) get the spots ;)

    SS

The spots have not been filled, Milo and myself were already going to be there. There are still two spots open as far as I know.

    Matt

If you want the spot Paypal Scott right now.

the last turn leading into the front straight is longer and faster.... the straight runs behind the house... i believe the new track will be faster... it should also be safer because u shouldn't come anywhere close to the concrete pit wall

click to watch some videos of the new setup

Allright guys. Those that are coming it's the normal SRDEC schedule. We'll meet at the McDonalds off the first exit West of 285 on 20. Going West on 20 the first exit you come to outside (West) of 285 is Fulton Industrial Blvd. Go South on that and you'll see the McD's just south of 20.

We'll meet there at 7:00 am. for breakfast and filling up with gas. We'll depart there by 7:30 am. We'll be going West on 20.

    I'll post more later.

Can't believe I missed this - but it looks like my "heavy" V8 wouldn't be allowed anyway. I usually don't get a chance to log on 'till late at night. Have fun and count me in for the next one.

this event was awesome... the slick track minimized the tire wear... i also learned that the panther plus pads are not sufficient at my power levels and fade after 5-6 laps

we got a bunch of chase footage... we plan to get it all posted up soon and have a little competition for compiling some nice videos :)

there was also more damage at this event than there has been in the past... ming went off and broke his front lip... i cracked a windshield when matt kicked up a stone (fucker)... but nothing compared to the damage incurred by a BMW that went sideways into a water barrel

PS: the one lap STi is fast as hell!!!!!!!!!

i'd strongly recommend going to scott's school first before going on a solo track day... the in car instruction provided is invaluable... the people who went off the track yesterday were at the track for the first time with no prior track experience

But we can both agree never to use Hawk HPS pads on the track again, right?

    Pads

I used Carbotech XP-12 front XP-10back in RA (Scott's recomendation), they worked perfectly.

Ive never really shot photos like these so I thought I'd use the 2 hour drive over there to try it out. Here are the rolling shots.
