So finally found the cause of the weirdest rattle/rumble. Turns out it was a rock that was wedged between hole and body. didn't move until the car was 'resonating' it at just the right frequency. i'll post picks later today when i get home. But good news, it sounds good again :)

You're right, i should stop playing around and take it seriously. anticipate the turn, initiate the slide not just react :naughty:

Anyway here are the photos i was talking about

    http://picasaweb.google.com/adam.chamely/AnnoyingRock

For reference this is on the passenger side just below the rear door.

the first picture is taken aiming backward to the passenger side rear tire
the 2nd picture is aim straight across car passenger to driver side
and the 3rd picture is the annoying bastard.

I circled the hole that it was wedged in. just sitting in there waiting to annoy the hell out of me
oh well its out now and sitting here to remind me :)

it started happening right after i left a friends gravel driveway. how/when it would happen was so un car like that it had to be something else. The good guys up at SoG gave it a spin and couldn't find anything so the simplest solution was probably the right one
