    Hey everybody,

I'm not exactly new to the site, but this is pretty much my first time posting. I currently have a 2000 Impreza 2.5 and need to find a shop that can perform a WRX swap and i thought what better place to ask than a WRX site. I have had a couple of suggestions but i would like more options. So any place you think would be capable of performing the swap for reasonable price please let me know. Thank you

    Mike

P.S. Sorry if this is in the wrong place, please move to were ever it needs to be.

I would love to go for the STi swap, but i am a student and it has already taken me this long to save up the $5k for the WRX, and i've heard that it can cost as much as $10k to do an STi since i would have to go with a full drivetrain and everything... But thanx for the welcome

There are a few shops in the area that could help you... however, i'd recommend you call one of our official vendors (SOG or batlground) since they support our community and are known to do good work

oh, and welcome to WRXatlanta :)

I'm Subaru of Gwinnett could perform the swap. They could do it physically. Then you could just send your harnesses to east coast swappers and they can splice the harnesses for you. Then you're ready to go. Lethal Injection has been itching to do one of these swaps.

Yea someone told me the same thing about lethal injection, i cant get a price form them until next week. I already went to Subaru of Gwinnett, but they gave me a pretty high price unless i did what u said, just have them do the physical part, and then have the wiring sent off. Keep the suggestions coming.

Supermoose has some nice trannies for sale on rs25. For the money why not just built an sti block and do the turbokit and engine management route? You could get it all built and installed along with transmission for less.

Is is possible to do all that for $5K? The wrx swap just seems easier. I pretty much just want this to last until after school then in a couple of years i am really going to build it up.

Very easily done with under 5k. Used shortblock and used turbo parts off wrx's should run you around ~$2300. Transmission 1k. Used Perfect power 6 ~300. Rest for install. It's gonna be more or less about that much. That's what I've been looking at.

you should call up momentum mototor works. he is momentum on the boards. (770)751-7777. ask for brandon. they might be capable of your swap. not sure, but it would be worth asking anyway.

One more thing, I am having trouble finding an 02-05 WRX engine. Does anyone know anywhere around here that i could get an engine from? Like Salvage yards or even anyone on the boards that is selling an engine.

    Thanks
