I recently had a set of KYB AGX struts put on my 02 rex sedan. What I wanna know is how do i get to the top of the strut shaft to adjust the ride quality? I figured that it would be in the trunk but i looked under the carpet and didnt see the top of the strut. Do I have to take the back seats out to adjust them?

Yep, though you can leave the seats unhooked at the top and then its just a matter of pulling them forward a little and contorting your head and neck to see what you're doing as you adjust them. Or, you can cut the rear deck...

The struts go all the way up to the top of the back of the seats. you have to take the backseat out to adjust the AGX's

which way are you wanting to adjust them?

You do not have to remove the back seats to adjust the struts, nor do you have to cut the rear deck.

Soft is 1 and hard is 4. I have these struts also and are a lot of fun. Use the little screwdrive and push the center screw down and then turn the long way from 4 to 1 or visa versa. Don't just skip from 1 right to 4 without passing 2 and 3. You can pop your backseats forward without having to remove them by placing your hands under the bottom of the seatback. Lift upwards on both ends, the seat should rise. Make the seat rise enough so that if you were to pull towards you on the top of the seat it will move towards you easily. Its all just foam so it bends a lot. I bend it and squeeze my head against the rear window and adjust the same way as described before. You are just unhooking the top of the seat. There is a little hook on the metal frame and a little bar on the back of your seat.

You learn all this stuff by doing installs yourself. Buy the tools and begin learning... Its normally a lot of fun.

I would run them on the street at 1. No reason to hurt the valving by hitting a nasty pothole while the struts are turned up. 1 is just a little stiffer than stock, but still nice enough to tool around on. I would definitely suggest swaybars as the struts will not contain all the cars body roll. Go with a 26mm Whiteline rear bar next with some endlinks.

This is actually what I was trying to suggest...you did say it much more clearly though...
