Yeah, this happened awhile back and the new camry is actually rolling off the assembly line at the subbie plant in Indiana. Hope this means we will get some more interesting vehicles from both companies. Subaru roadster anyone?

damn toyota; i knew they were the ones that tried to make the wrx 'nicer' instead of 'faster'.....all they want is money and they dont think about the passion and history behind the car. i appreciate their technical abilities (i.e. the braking feel, engine noise, etc), but they need to leave our cars alone..i mean, who the hell is the person that got rid of our fender flares really? and they thought having two exhausts would excite the crowd :hsnono: ...

i wont be surprised if we see the sti with 'luxury' gizmos instead of better vehicle dynamics. hehe, evo guys will have a time of their life now..

sorry guys.. i`m just not happy with the new wrx, especially being a student pursuing a career as an automible designer.

I think a blend of the two companies products has real potential. Subaru has no idea how to make a car interior, Toyota has forgotten how to make a car sporty. If the two can be combined in the right way, I think both companies stand to benefit. I am not sure how people can say they don't like a car until they see it in person, and more importantly, drive it. I understand saying you don't like the way it looks, but for an enthusiast isn't that only half of the equation?

It's too bad Toyota ruined the MR2 with the MRS (last gen MR2) and killed the Celica and Supra... I say the make a new STI-based Celica... A non-feminine design would be nice too...

And oh how I miss the good ol' MR2-Turbo - god that car was so much fun!
