Performance-wise it's stock except for tires (Goodyear F1s for summer, Continental ContiExtremeContacts for winter); have done some "functional" mods including trailer hitch, mud flaps ("splash guards"), and hood protector. New member Hey everybody newbie here. I'm clemsonscubies co-driver. Don't have a wrx yet :wtc: but thinking about it. Right now I drive a 2001 wolfsburg jetta. New 180 hp 1.8t motor with a turbo back exhaust, Nuespeed inlet pipe, getting ready to chip it and get a complete suspension upgrade but every time I get in a WRX i'm ready to go trade the VW in and get a WRX. Nothing like the feeling of AWD. I go by Russ and I live in SC close to the NC border so its pretty far to travel to the atl area but its worth it to get in the scubie. Looking forward to competing with you guys, I have a blast Autocrossing. Nothing like it.

But, it's almost paid of. It has a Zetec engine which is kinda starting out for me with the little bit of power I might feel in it. I do love the feel of power though. And, I have been in an WRX a few times and I love that one! He just almost let me drive it, but we were in a hurry to get across the country. So, maybe next time. Unless I purchase one very soon myself when the ZX2 is paid off. How modded is your ride? Well... I did just buy some things for my Escort and had my brother put them on, but more like fixing it, not modifying it. Where do you usually by parts? Greene Ford is where I made those purchases. But, my brother works for a place he calls around to different places when needing parts. VIP Autocare in Oakwood, Ga. And many times they use Slack next door. But, I have purchased parts from several of the parts stores. Do you visit any other local boards? Not really. Show, Go, or Stock and staying that way? Umm... yeah. ? The purchase I will make will certainly be a silver one!! But, it has to have headlights like the 06 has.. I don't really like any of the other ones. Drifting is pretty cool and I have really never had anyone or any influence to get into such things as any race or sports except what I played as a kid and a few games or races so long ago.
