WRXatlanta Meet Booth/EZ up, with graphics and counter I spoke with Alex earlier this morning regarding this matter, but i wanted to put it out there in the hands of the members because thats who makes all the decisions in this community. I work for a Trade Show Desgn House here in Atlanta. I know that we have a ton of Meets, lots of G2G's, SCCA events, Track days and now Club Wars. I asked Alex if he felt like Large graphics, with compiled images form WRX atlanta meets and member photos made into a large mural with the WRXatlanta logo would be beneficial for us to have. I would love to be able to produce something like this to help get the name out there and have the club noticed more at events. Let me know what you guys think. 1)EZ Up w/ Logo/graphic. I don't know what a big mural is going to do for us unless we have a clubhouse I don't know about... But an E-Z up would be bitchin'! Everyone knows there's a WRX Club at the even so a cumbersome advertisement it is overkill. But we could all benefit from a place to hang out. I'm picturing a black tent thing with WRXAtlanta.com on it...
I think that we have a Tent do we not? What im thinking of is not cumbersome by any stretch. Its basically a 10x10 that rolls up into a case similar to the size of a gold bag. it has the structure that collapses to a small size as well. I totally agree that you should have a place to chill before you get graphics. I can certainly make that happen as well, we produce those EZ tents all the time, as a matter of fact we can print on the top of the EZ up as well.
I think its a great idea and would be beneficial to the community. A lot of clubs have their graffiti looking text and all that, but being the club that we are, with the normal people that we have... I think something not really professional, but definately nice and clean would be good.

if we're trying to present as a community that is stable and sustainable, then the booth design is a good idea. i'm not sure about group shots as part of the graphic, as it would be a reitteration of what should be around the booth when it's set up but the look and feel supporting the core values in a more conotative way would definitely be a good thing. it will certainly "formalize" the presence which isn't a bad idea.
i have a shit ton of hi-res images from the first group photos. there might be a DVD floating around out there of it all. if not, i still have it, just let me know. also, i've taken a ton of shots at the auto-x's and the AMLS race; with our logo in the center of the banner i might add (that was so cool). i guess what i'm saying is, is i'm in just let me know what you guys and gals need. and yes, we NEED to do a group shot again. Bueler?
i completely agree with you on this one. I think that we should go with something really professional. what i would like to do is come up with as many graphic ideas that we can find and meet on that. I think that I can handle the Tent and printing on the tent, but i wont be able to knock out the graphics until we can all meet and decide on what we want to do. I know that there are a bunch of Graphic Designers in the community, so whoever wants to lend their abilities to this project your input is certainly welcome. The graphic mural will be 10'x10', so we will need to design to that size.
I personally like the idea of the tent with wrxAtlanta on it much better that the billboard (which is what I'm picturing from your description. I think it would just be overkill. I don't know, maybe my opinion would change if I saw it. But yeah, thumbs up on the wrxatlanta tent!
Nice, thanks for posting up on it. Its definately not a billboard. Its super professional and sharp looking. The grahics are seperated into 3 sections. They are digitally printed, laminated to be durable and long lasting, They are applied to the structure magnetically and by slot clamps. After the grahics are hung there are endcaps that also attach to the sides as to give a more finished appearance. When it is completely assembled it is curved, and the viewing area is concave. Lights can be attached to it to illuminate it if there is a night meet. I will post some pictures of an example ASAP. There are other options for graphics, this option just gives the opportunity to have some nice crisp looking graphics as opposed to a vinyl banner like the ones that you see in a bar announcing Budweiser presents "_____________"!
Great ideas all around...I love the tent idea, especially for SCCA autox representation! Not sure how I can help, but let me know what I can do to contribute.

I am thinking something along the lines of a basic ez up tent, royal blue in color, various logo(s) present as a minimum at this point. I will have additional information as I get more information.
Just readin over this at work now - definitely like the idea. I see the group gettin more use out of a printed tent than I do the tradeshow booth design. From my experiences in Trade Shows and such, we just don't have enough marketable products to warrant the use of a designated "booth". However - at large meets - it would be pretty cool to have the tradeshow booth setup behind all the cars and such. Meh - I'm game for whatever - I think it'll def be a good thing for WRXatl.
