I just got back from the national dealer meeting and the intro for the 2008 Tribeca and Impreza. The Impreza is amazing! Bigger, quiet and the 5 door looks excellent. Much better than the pictures make it look.

We got to drive the 2.5i on the 1.5 mile, banked Las Vegas track, but only at 90 mph. The car was quick and quiet. Base model will retail for $17,000.

We got hot laps in the WRX with a pro driver. My guy was a sprint car driver. He kept talking about how amazing the car was. They had a wet section where they pulled on the ebrake in a 60 mph curve. That couldn't even get the car out of shape.

In short it is an amazing car! Once you get your butt in the seat, all of the stuff about sedan, 5 door, grille... is quickly forgotten. It takes the rush and excitement that WRX and STi are known for to the next level. Get ready!

Practically everyting. New front and rear end. New 6 cyl that runs on 87 octane, new shift points in the transmission, much better handling and a bunch more stuff.

Not for at least 3 years. Nothing definite. That will be the next model change for Tribeca.

not a smart idea to be ripping the e-brake. thats a no no. that center diff will be trashed soon.

Its Subaru employees doing it to Subaru vehicles...give me a car and tell me to thrash and see if I don't try to e brake turn and heel toe my way to a broken tranny....
