So, I just took this for a test drive and decided to bring it home for a few minutes. The Honda Beat. I'm sure most of you know this car from GT2/GT3. Needless to say, my buddies shop has an R32 GT-R Skyline, an R-33 GT-R, Evans, various other JDM cars, and this was all the talk of the shop. Driving this right hand drive 'beast' is a hoot. Right hand drive, mid engine, rear wheel drive. All of 56 hp. 8500 redline. I want one. It came from Ontario Canada. Took 3 tanks of gas to get from Ontario to Atlanta. oh, and it's a 6 gallon tank. That's 18 gallons of fuel. 1305 miles. That's 72.5 miles to the gallon. :eek3: needless to say, I want one. I think I'm going to drive it around for the day on Saturday. Does anyone wanna come over and check it out?
Looks like a cool ride Matt...Are you ready for football season?. It's coming up very soon....The Phins should be good this year...hopefully. Mark
Here are some day pics!! Strayen and I just got back from the shop. Apparently, they think it has a fouled plug all of a sudden. This was before we took it out today. ractive steering wheel  No VTec, but it does have some sort of 'engine throttle response control.'
after seeing the following pic of another kei car, I definitely want to try to get one of these in the country! This is a Suzuki Cappuccino. On the right....Left is a Lotus Elan. I'll dig up the specs on this gem...I think it's turbo'd!!
Found some info on it. What's really cool about it is that it can be configured as a hard top with removable panels, a Targa top with a glass rear window (the whole thing slides into the back of the car), or a complete open car. 3 cylinder turbo, 64hp and weighs about 1600lbs. About as quick as Miata. Can be modified up to around 150-200hp as there are tons of mods for them. AND, looks a LOT better than the Beat! I'll see about getting some more shots, if possible.
