I went to the event May 12th and it is the first one I have ever went to. I think it's pretty awesome and I may actually enjoy getting into lots of stuff like that. I had 3 older brothers and you would think I might be already into much stuff as a tomboy growing up. But, Grandmother did well to attempt keeping me somewhat girly. So, I know that event travels, but are there any other events that take place or even some of you guys get your's out to a track and play with them for others to view?? I actually signed up for Road Atlanta to notify me of any events really, but they haven't sent me any kind of notifications. Being single and never having done a whole lot of things without being lead by others (or taken) to do so, I just haven't found initiative to get out and do these things on my own. So, the drifitng event in May was my first step. I went to the Georgia International Horse Park (in Conyers) as a second step for 4th of July. I am hoping to find more things. So, drifting is the question.. or similar events you guys can suggest??

    thanks!

hmm... Got a myspace page? ;) There are a lot of autocross events/track that you could go to... In fact, this weekend there is a track day at Road Atlanta. I don't know if there are gonna be any Subies there, but theres always tons of really nice cars

RA Usually has the Drift Atlanta series once per year. It is usually a good time. Occasionally, they have amature drifting at Turner Field a couple times a year. Not sure if that is going to continue though since last event, one of the photographers got hit by a car, they might get shut down, not sure though. Aside from that, they do a crappy little drift demo at Nopi each year. It really is lame if you saw the real thing at RA. Nopi is in Sept and I will start posting the details for it soon. For drifting that is pretty much it.

As for Auto X. We have a full season of that. Next event is Saturday Night at AMS. Night events are very rare, so this could be interesting. Usually there are threads about the Auto X's as Registration opens. We usually have the schedule uploaded into the calendar as well. Just click Calendar at the top of the page.

Road course events also occur regularly. Just look for a post, usually there are a couple slots available if you want to participate. Not sure how spectating works, depends on the track.

we host local and national amateur events. I'm a girl and I drift. I have a boyfriend that helps out with all of it though, so it makes it very easy for me. Props for you getting out on your own. Check out our page for our schedule. We have 2 coming up, one in Cordele GA on July 22nd (It's a free event for drivers) and one Aug 22nd at AMS. our myspace page is myspace.com/maximumangle

Try to make it out to some of the meets we have. They are a good place to get to know people from all over Atlanta, and there are always people who are up to do something

Thanks you guys! This Saturday might be pretty tight to fit in for an event though as my daughter will be 4 that day and we hope to have a lot of guests at her party. Really, I do want to get into this stuff. And I will check in with the calendar. I will certainly have to know a good time ahead to go to meets as you mentioned because there's only 2 of us working in the salon right now and that makes it tough when getting someone to fill in when wanting off. Tell you what, I will have August 11th and September 8th off for weddings, so maybe there will be something going on with those days I could catch.. just hoping though. Thanks! You guys are great!
