Hey guys, I was talking to a friend of mine about putting together a group buy for some downpipes/exhausts. (We both need them) I was gonna ask and see what people wanted. If you could choose a part for a group buy what would it be? Companies like Invidia, JIC, F5 Fujita, Injen, Agency Power, ARK, AEM, Random Tech/Airborne Motorsports. Anyways, post up if you are interested. ps Mods, let me know if there is an issue with me posting here as I am not a vendor.
I've always been partial to Turbo xs (I'm not a huge fan of huge mufflers). But then again, I doubt I'd be able to participate in the group buy due to lack of funds :hs:
SS lines, I'll be needing some RS ones aswell so erm yeah try and figure that into it. Any sort of tools you can think of?
We could do the stainless DC sports downpipe. Sounds like everyone is looking for SS lines right now. So I will make another post for that
So... what's going on? Still waiting on more interest? I think we'll need to make sure we can get brake lines for less than $88 as that's the going price on Nasioc. How about blank brembo rotors? Could get my brake setup done on a group buy haha.
Yeah right now we are waiting on interest. I have Ken over at WRXBrakes.com who is going to help us out with the brake lines.
I need a Walbro pump and an Injen CAI for my STI... don't know how much interest there would be in these items...
SonicBoom, sent you a PM. Which brake lines would you guys be interested in? I can do Goodridge brake lines for: $100 for 5+ people $96 for 7+ people $92 for 10+ people Let me know guys. Thanks
yes the shipping is included. I will also later add on the brake pads and brake fluid at a cheap price as an additional option if/when this group buy actually starts.
Is it possible to get a different brand of brake line? In some of my reading I've heard that the goodridge ones are not coated, "to prevent rust and possible pre-mature failures". But then again, I wasn't aware that stainless steel rusted either. Is this brand any good? http://www.rs25.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64277
Someone said the techna-fit ones were coated but I dunna bloody know! Bed time! Do you fella's sell blank brembo wrx rotors? They're $120 shipped on Nasioc but when it comes time to do it I would prefer to give the money to a local business.
here's the description from rallysport direct: Techna Fit brake lines are very high quality. They are stainless steel braided and feature a heavy duty clear rubber coating on the outside to prevent chaffing. These lines will help reduce pedal "squish" that can be found under hard braking conditions. And from stikiller.com: (first one i clicked on) Finally, StopTech brake lines are coated with a Clear Abrasion Resistant Cover for maximum protection against chaffing. Also I read that they make coated goodridge lines...any insight
Well is there really going to be much difference in the stainless steel goodridge lines and the techna fit ones? Is it just the name we're paying extra for? It seems that the techna fit ones also have the coating which is a plus. If we could get them for cheaper I would have thought it would be more logical.
Anyone seen maddad gauges in the wild from daddysscp.com ? V2 WRX: http://www.daddysscp.com/dcart4/product.php?productid=145&cat=13&page=1 V2 Ti: http://www.daddysscp.com/dcart4/product.php?productid=134&cat=29&page=1 Ultra (STI): http://www.daddysscp.com/dcart4/product.php?productid=170&cat=13&page=1 I thought a group buy on v2 gauge bundles and maybe ultra bundles would be cool, but I don't know if Daddy's works with resellers though. Might be a bit much $ for a group buy.
Here's a link to the group buy thread! http://www.wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?p=188321#post188321
