First of all Thank you WILL(WJM) So I went to the double cross today for the practice starts. After the third start I felt the clutch slip i said no way. so i did a couple of more starts and it got worse. so i left called SOG at 3:30 they said i could not have is done unit 10:AM. so i took it up there anyway got there at 4:00. Will came out took the car for a Little drive said it was the clutch, said he would have it done by 8:00 tonight cool. Will my car done in an hour 20 minutes. Thank you Will
That's great service! I know people that would burn that amount time changing a spare tire. ( like me before I found the jack handle for my car...a-hem )
So the new hourly time for a clutch install is 1hr 20mins worth of labor:rofl:  JK Guess today was a good day and saved your weekend.. rock on!
thats fast... well i dont know how difficult it is for the sti but for the evos its pain in the ass. didi you go with stock clutch?
I beat my old record too. Usually it takes me about an hour and 30 to 45 mins to do a WRX 5MT clutch, add another 30 mins for an STi. But I knocked his out in 1:20 and some change. I was rockin' it. Fastest I ever got an EVO clutch done was in 4hrs.
ah...i still have you beat by 15 min's. ...then the alarm buzzed at 8:30, and it was time to get outta bed.
That's awesome. I've dropped my tranny 6 times and reinstalled 6 different clutches/pressure plates in 4 hrs in one night. I was wore slap out without a tranny jack. Bench pressing the tranny is a chore.
Not bad I suppose for a dealer tech, Ive done them in as little as an hour and 15, but it still fails in even remote comparison to East Coast Swappers 7hour 47minute full WRX drivetrain swap into a 99 2.5RS. from running 2.5 to running WRX, now THATS fast
