The world seems so dark today. Oh thats right, It's because I am looking thru 20% now. Yipee.

Got my tint done last night. Thanks Kolgoth for the hookup on the free tint job. Car looks great now.

I couldn't do what I really wanted to do because Tint Genius didn't have the right film to do what I had in mind, however, they told me that if I want to do it in the future, they would not charge me for removal of the current film.

Hopefully within the next few weeks, I will get parts retinted to my original plan.

Haha - congrats on the Tint finally man - I bet it looks sharp and probably is much easier on the eyes too!

I wanna come take a look at it next time we're out - looking forward to checking out the quality of the work they do... Congrats again bro!

Kolgoth won a free tint job at the VP Automotive Grand Opening. Since his car was already tinted, he sold me the certificate for a good price.

Here are some pics. Again, it is just a straight up tint job, 20% all the way around with a Nice large Strip on the front windshield. I will be redoing some of it in the very near future.

So far the tint looks good. There are alot of bubbles, but they look like they are mostly moisture bubbles that should go away in a few days. I see very few air bubbles.

The bottom edge of my cruise card is at the 6 inch limit for tint on the front window. The strip on the windshield goes way beyond that.

Looks hot man. I have legal 27% on mine but have been tempted to move up to 5%. If I put 20% on top of my 27% what would that make it? 16% or something like that?

How would that look doubling up tint like that. Sounds like it would be a pain to remove if the time came.

Tint is a pain to remove, regardless of how many layers. I don't think it would be any easier/harder than removing a single layer.

However - having previous professionally installed window film for awhile - it will royally fuck your visibility... Every film is made of multiple layers of different materials (carbons, metals, ceramics - it all depends on the film) and they are meshed together in the most visibly appealing and efficient manner so that as much visbility as possible is maintained while blocking the actual light. If you layer 2 layers of film on your windows, you're ruining all of the visbility properties of the actual film and are going to have microscopic layers of whatever material is in the film overlaying one another in places where they shouldn't be resulting in a much darker film than logic would initially imply...

Pay the extra money and get the tint stripped and retinted...

Also - FYI - Legal regulations only apply for the front 2 windows; you can have the rear windows and rear side windows 5% - but the front 2 windows and windshield are regulated. Also note, colored tint and mirror tint is illegal ANYWHERE on the vehicle (plus it looks ghetto as hell)...
