I have done a bunch of Subies with nitrous just never a STG2. To say I was interested in doing this is an understatement. Sometimes its nice to break the norm and do something different. I was actually really amazed at how this car drove with the nitrous. On the street it felt like I was driving an NA Big Block hotrod. There was absolutely no lag just instant tq.

The is a STG2 Sti with a header and a ZEX single fogger nitrous kit jetted for a 75hp shot. Boost was set at 19psi peak with a tapper to 15psi at redline. Runs were made on a 50/50 mix of 93 and 110.

For this dyno run I switched the nitrous on at 2600rpms

haha...its kinda obvious where you turned on the nitrous....lol from 2600 on it looks like it pulls like a raped ape

is this window switch triggered? does the NOS taper off as the boost increases?

yes there is a window switch on it, and no it is not a progressive nitrous system. Its all or nothing

Anymore details on the nitrous setup? I'm kinda curious what running a 75 shot on my new motor would yield. I'm assuming its a wet shot, WOT switch to start spraying at 2600?

looks amazing, how reliable would this be? Would the drivetrain parts be "shocked" of the instant torque?

I like it. Gets me thinking what would gt30r + meth + NAWZ be like? I'm down for faster spooling.

Would spraying NO2 mess up the meth spray?

I wouldn't spray meth and nitrous. You risk the chance of having to much fluid entering the engine and puddling inside the intake.

Perfect example of why NOS is the perfect poor mans HP answer.

haha, perfect until it blows up and the poor man must buy a new engine ;)

Anyway, crazy numbers from a stage 2 setup!

Faster spool would be nice but I suppose it is easier to refill a meth tank than a NOS bottle. (35 gal VP M1 FTW!)

Holy cow look at the tq curve. I bet that felt like you were gonna snap your neck.

yeah, I would love to have that kind of tq curve on the stock turbo!

This seems to put out a little more than the stock turbo with meth injection. At a track, would a standard size tank of Nitrous outlast a tank of meth (either washer bottle tank or spec-c tank)?

I don't know much about nitrous.

Highest stock turbo with meth I have had was high 320's. I would say this makes alot more.

I think SS got one to hit 330ish hp and 420ish tq.

Milo a tank of meth will vastly outlast a regular bottle of nitrous. However you can add multiple bottles of nitrous but the cost ratio is up there. Nitrous costs a lot more than methanol.

On what dyno? On racegas I have seen 338hp and 440tq with the stock turbo. But that was spiking 26psi and then falling. I would never try that with just pump and meth on the stocker. Any way you look at it though the stock turbo will never make 380hp without some kind of other help.

Guys, Meth is not a replacement for Nitrous. They are in no way the same.

You can't compare numbers they just don't work like that.

Oh....and Nitrous does not blow up motors, bad tuners do.

am i correct that this is not a track solution but a 1/4mile one?
