Kentucky?? I know.. :hsugh: Anyways, I'm coming down to the Subaru Challenge autocross in mid-November, along with another friend from Lexington, so I figured I might as well try to introduce myself, talk some smack, and get to know a few people before I head down! My primary automotive interests are autocross and track days, so my cars and mods have pretty much revolved around that. Right now I'm campaigning a recently purchased 02 WRB WRX Wagon, which is actually my first Subaru (preceded by 5 Hondas.. :rofl I currently attend University of Kentucky (we put the L in LSU???) and work for a wholesale parts distributor called Injected Performance (www.injectedperformance.com). We have www.subituned.com as a side project, and I'm a vendor on Nasioc.. but enough about that Here are some pictures of my terribly stock and boring WRX: Only mods I've done so far are removing the roof rail crossbars, and these things :naughty: : More below..
And since I've already had someone ask about my past cars, I'll go ahead and post up my favorite two: By far my favorite was my 2000 Civic Si (three cars ago). This thing was as MINT as they come, and to this day, I have never seen one that was more well taken care of or in better overall condition. I really, really regret selling it.. but oh well. *sigh* Here was the mod list at it's "peak". Nothing too major, but just enough to make it a great car to toss around on the weekends. It was sold 100% bone stock. I didn't like it quite so much, but it was still a blast to drive. I burnt a valve at a track day at VIR over the summer. After that mess, and pretty much rebuilding the entire head, I decided to just cut my losses and move onto something else. Not too many "regular" pictures of it, unfortunately. It didn't get loved as much as the Si How it sat 90% of the time.. like a friggin DSM I tell ya.. lol Old busted vs. Ferrea hotness Finally, how it sold: Modifications at it's "peak" Engine: K&N conical filter DC Sports 4-2-1 ceramic header Carsound high flow catalytic converter RS*R Ex-Mag 60mm midpipe Spoon Sports N1 60mm axle-back muffler Suspension: Koni Yellow sport shocks Eibach Ground Control sleeve coilovers (custom spring rates) Eibach Ground Control extended top mounts (24mm) Duralast blank rotors Hawk HPS brake pads Russell stainless steel brake lines ATE TYP 200 brake fluid Wheel and Tire: 5zigen FN01R-C 15x7 +37 offset (matte black) Falken Azenis RT-615 205/50R15 Stock "Si wheels" 15x6 +45 offset Yokohama AVS ES-100 195/50R15 Kics R40 extended lug nuts (neochro) ARP extended 2.85" wheel studs Exterior: OEM ITR front lip OEM ITR rear wing 20% Tint 94-97 Taillights Interior: Spoon Sports shift knob JDM ITR shift boot Energy Suspension shifter bushings -------------------------------------------- Annyyywayys.. I guess that sums me up pretty well. Feel free to ask me any questions, tell me I'm a Honda ricer, or whatever. I can take it I look forward to meeting a lot of you in November!! -Ryan
welcome, i hope you take care of your wagon as you did the previous 2... i saw your post on nasioc and i'd love to see the racing tires on the car
Seconded. I generally dislike modified civics, but that is probaby one of the most well done modified street cars I've ever seen period. It looks like it was very tastefully done and probably a blast to drive. And welcome to the boards! My car is stock too!!! WOOO!
Welcome to the boards! I hope you enjoy your stay. Judging by a few of your posts you seem pretty knowledgeable as well.
Does your friend have a SM WRB wrx that they took out to a autox in Lousivlle last summer in July? The event was at papa johns stadium parking lot.
welcome, thanks for sharing about your cars! that's a great looking wagon. were you ever recently at VIR or Summit in the fall/spring? i used to volunteer as a flagger during those months when i was in college. your old Si really took me back, one of my best friends/old roomates had a milano red Si, and it turned me into a honda fan (at the time i really didn't like them). it was a blast to autocross and alot of fun to work on as well. unfortunately it was stolen for the *second* time and has not been found :wtc:
Yes, his is a SM WRB WRX, but there are about 10 of them around here If you know the points event number, I would be able to tell you. His name is Chris Adams, 87 SM. I was at VIR in June for the ITR Expo. What an awesome track! Can't wait to go next year when I have another track-worthy car. Thanks for the warm welcomes btw. I also forgot to mention that I used to live in Peachtree City/Fayetteville for about 7-8 years or so when I was younger. I left because my mom was relocated with her job up to Cincinnati. However, she is now being relocated again BACK to Atlanta.. so that gives me another reason to head down there more often. It's about a 5-5.5 hour drive. Not too bad at all to head down there for a weekend.
cool, the ITR expos are always fun times. i love VIR, it's my favorite east coast track. uphill esses
It was Points 6 for 2006! I was in the STi with pink wheels running in A Stock! The results say Chris was there; I think him and his friends were asking me about pressures for v710s.
Haha yep! I was there, and I actually co-drove that car. It was the first time for both of us driving on race tires, so that would probably explain all of the noob questions we were asking.
Congrats on your victory over LSU... Nice ride too, except someone put an I heart Honda sticker on it... You need to take care of that!!!
Thanks for all of the compliments guys. My ideal wagon would be along the lines of speed-element's:
