I was going to install a clutch today but parts issues put it on hold. Anyone have anything they need installed? My wife is taking the kids to the mountains so I'd be up for having an impromptu g2g at my place if I can't find a car to work on.
Well I'm going to try and switch my coilovers out for stock suspension at the wrecker yard if they let me. If you're THAT bored I can give you a call if they let me do it.
well it is my birthday and i can't get the motor to line back up on the input shaft on the tranny. we tried for 3 hours last night and still nothing really wanted to drive it today! ha so if you get bored, me and BC2003UGA will be working on it today. cell number is 912-687-6625! hahaha
I wanted to try and roll my fenders out on my RSTI. I heard someone on this forum has the tool. I have the 05 sti hubs so it should bolt right up. Let me know if you can/want to help People openly volunteering their time... this forum just rocks
No worries. What wrecker yard? I was thinking about going to the one on Bufford just to take things apart. Actually I need to get under a 2.5rs to see how the exhaust is set up.
Take the car out of gear and rotate the crank shaft back and forth slightlly with a breaker bar on the crank pulley bolt. It will help line up the splines and it will slide right on. Just make sure you have the snap ring set right for the release bearing to lock into before you bolt it all togehter.
I need to install linkage bushigns and a driveshaft if you are up for it...and changed the oil too I think they are called linkage bushings
you could do a compression test on monk's sti....but its a little late for that. I slept most of the day. yay!
I ended up going your old apartment complex today. Somebody is definately suffering from some crunched bearings. Looks like its time to research shortblock options.

I didn't get to remove anything today. The yard supervisor wasn't around and they didn't want me stripping all of the impounded repo cars. I'm trying to figure out when I can get it done.
