tracks in FL are much faster than what we have here in GA... close to stock wrx's down there hit low 14s... i'd like to take a weekend off sometime during the fall and go down there... if the drive is long, i'll stay there for the night... anyone else interested?

I'd love to go, but the closest track in florida is about 6-7 away at least. We could try to go down to silver dollar. Its ALOT better than commerce and only ~1.5-2 hours away. The best part is that they race on Saturday starting in the early afternoon. I was over a half second faster at Silver Dollar over Commerce.

i used to live in florida for 15 years. i ran a 14.2 stock and 13.79 with only a boost controler and a panel filter. although i like bithlow as my fav track in orlando. jacksonville will be closest unless theres a old dirty sticky track in tallahassee. gainesville is fun also. my home town. they got the race way were gator nationals are held.( the first NHRA event of the year)

tracks that are close in florida:
ill be goin to g-ville alot during the fall for football games so let me know theres some test and tunes on sat night

orlando although its a drive. its buy far the best track ive been to. and ive been doin drags for 8 years now.

    gainesville

    jacksonville

this is the sight i got these links from. its a listing of citys and tracks in florida.

I moved from jacksonville about a year ago and jacksonville raceways is only an 1/8th strip and the surface sucks..dont waste your time there..gainsville is probably the closest 1/4 strip in Florida

gainesville is not even 6. it all depends on traffic in the atl & valdosta(bad construction). i never made it in less than 4 and never more than 5 1/2. like i said il be goin that way alot (like every other weekend)this fall so let me know. theres lots of friday nights but im guessing sat is what your shooting for.

17 Saturday Night Test & Tune & Open Comp Race #6

they also tend to have open regestration bracket racing on sat nights. as you can see theres only 2 fall times open on sat.

someone just opened a 1/4 drag in valdosta, along with a round track(base off of Bristol). word is they have dumped an ass load of money in it, i have had a few people tell me how nice it is. I am planning on going there when my bro gets back from germany. Maybe i can take his 85 monte, 383 stroker and a brand new tranny with 3000 stall. :eek:hnoes:

I would love to check out the Valdosta one some time soon and will probably make it to Gainesville in the Fall... if the CRX doesn't die before then.
