Everyone keep Saturday (10/23) free for dyno runs at knowledge performance. Its gonna work out to $85 (including tax) per AWD car for 3-4 pulls. Thats about $25 off regular price. Being dynapak awd dynos, setup takes some time but they said they should be able to accomodate at least 8-10 cars on that day. If more people wanna do it, they will hold the same price for sunday (10/24). Being one weekend before the subaru challenge, it will be nice to know how much power ur car is really making. they open at 10am so we'll see u guys there around 10.15am. *********** 2WD cars will cost $45 *********** I wanna get a head count so holla if ur gonna make it. So far we have 10: Alex (tenative) miloman BelvnAWD Dellwin Genya 2000bluegts RADON RX-8 ScoobyBlkWRX WRXFan420 directions: http://www.knowledgeperformance.net/directions.htm
Count me in!! I've got my gauges in now and am happily boosting 17 psi, now I need to see how much I'm putting down.
Lone warrior? Always cracking me up. Regardless, Milo and I discussed this to great extent earlier today and we came to the conclusion that this is more than a fair price.
For those who haven't been there yet (I might be the only one??) the link below is the directions page from their website: Knowledge Performance
by the way this is not restricted only to subarus... if u guys have friends who wanna dyno their cars, ask them to come along too... knowledge is gonna book saturday and sunday for us
if Mike can get his RX-7 working in time (he just needs a new headlight switch but doesnt want to drive and chance getting stuck out past dark) he said he might want to dyno. Alex should get his RX-8 on the dyno too.
yeah, he's gotten in the wrong part three times so far. Basically his voltage regulator went out and it fried all the headlight wiring. He needs a new headlight harness. He dynoed at a local dyno and put down 210 whp but is always up to do it again.
if any of you have free time but don't wanna dyno ur cars, i would encourage you all to come out there to hang out anyway... it will be a lot of fun watching other members dyno their cars, plus u get to check out the facility
I'll be there but me dynoing all depends on if its cheaper for a two wheel drive car , either way it sounds like its gonna be fun.
i want to go...i dont know if ill get on the dyno but it sounds like fun. i just dont know how to get there....is everyone just going to show at knowledge or going to meet up befor and head there together? if not ill need direction. thanks, Dane
those who live downtown might meet up around tech and go up there together... but thats probably out of the way for u... here's a link to directions http://www.knowledgeperformance.net/directions.htm
Dyno Day I will come out to meet some of you guys but don't need to put my car on the dyno, I am pretty stock right now.
Come hang with us 420. I will be going as well, I need to be done however around 5pm so I can go to work. But look forward to it. Jason
This weekend is going to be fully devoted to tracking down my pesky vacuum leak that has plagued me forever. Its just some damn connector along my intake tubing/intercooler tubing. Dont want to be losing any power on the dyno because of a leak . . .
hey milo, you find out if it would be cheaper for me since i only have two driven wheels ? need to make sure i can have the cash since i may spend some of my hard earned green at the scottish festival this weekend and no, i dont like hagus , if its too much cash for me i think i might just bring my hearse to the meet, if thats cool with yall:bigthumb: . Alex/RX-8
ive been putting it off for a while... sorry.... i'll find out today whether u dyno it or not, y not bring the rx8 anyway?
i love both cars and must be kind to both since i have neglected my hearse for the past few months since its more of a fall/spring car due to the lack of A/C, so if i can ill bring it, and if it has issues ill bring the 8 if thats ok with you milo . Alex/RX-8
"2WD cars will cost $45... " thank you so much for finding this out, now there is a large possibility that i may dyno, and i guess if i bring the hearse i might put it on the dyno, it will be helpful since i plan on rebuilding the engine and tranny and i can see the difference.
I will probally drop by to take a look and meet some of you. I am off that day but the GF will be taking up most of my time that day. I have not seen the new shop they have moved into.
Now to decide on whether to get UP/DP installed before or after Saturday (if time). Is getting a baseline dyno with only an axelback and intercooler hoses beneficial or just put it all on and see the results.
Id go ahead and install it all. Then maybe dyno again after EM is installed with your engine management. However it wouldnt hurt to get a baseline either Jason
I will be dyno-ing my Bone Stock 04 sedan, so if you want to install the stuff, I should be a fairly good comparison for what your mods did...
That'll be a good comparison. I believe the 4EAT has move hp loss than a manual. Should be close enough, or at least I hope. BTW, does Knowledge have a website with directions, etc.?
get it installed if u have time.... im gonna get mine put in if fedex actually brings my part in (it was scheduled for last friday)... if it comes in, im gonna try to go to knowledge on thursday and get it installed and tuned. heres directions http://www.knowledgeperformance.net/directions.htm
UP/DP scheduled to go on this Thursday. Axelback is already on. Stock rear midpipe (resonator) is still in place at this time.
