Hi guys, I know it's been a while since I introduced myself, but I've finally got my house in Alabama under contract so the move to this area is close!

Went looking at houses this weekend, and there are way too many to choose from.

Wanted to see if I could get some opinions on the local subdivisions. My realtor was trying to stay PC in answering my questions, but I want the dirt.

Fisrt, Berwick Lakes in Pooler. There are a lot of houses for sale there, which is good for selection, but there's also reasons for those houses being empty.

Also looking at Hunt Club in Pooler, Goshen Hills Plantation in Rincon, Park West in Guyton.

Thanks for any help guys. And I might be able to make it to a get together this coming weekend, on call for work, so it's a little up in the air.

ha, I'm staying in Hinesville this week for work. The Holiday Inn has an indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna though.

i worked in rincon last week. personally i think pooler is the better choice. its a little closer savannah, and the interstate. better for commuting, traveling, and going downtown. both pooler and rincon are growing communities tho. so, don't worry if its not there (meaning a favorite restaraunt, movie theater, or store), because i can almost garuntee that it will be there soon. richmond hill is still pretty booming as well.....

Richmond Hill is nice, its not in Savannah but close enough where you don't have drive that far but you don't have all that city bs to deal with

I like Pooler, Rincon is okay but is farther from the interstate and downtown activities, and traffic sucks on 21. I have a customer in Port Wentworth that will be my primary customer once I get moved here. Another customer in Jesup is a one week/month deal (this week), and occasional customers in other states. Company's main office is in Atlanta, for the rare occasions I go to the office anyway. Pooler puts me close to both 16 and 95 and the airport, and there's a lot of property available in the area. Now I just need to decide on a house...

Except I'm working Thanksgiving, well, on call at least, and this customer tends to be a pain the but. I take the perks when I can get 'em though :wiggle:
