Went to an italian place off canton road to eat dinner last night.

the waiter politely informed me that i couldn't order a water because of the "drought". he offered me bottled water, DASANI, which is filtered TAP WATER. WTF :squint:

I guess he forgot the whole point of cutting back on usage, so that us homo sapiens that need water to survive can CONSUME it. I asked him what they cooked the pasta in and then left to find a non scamming restaurant. bunch of dicks

Cobb county actually sent out a letter telling all resteraunts to inform people about this and to only offer tap water on request. My resteraunt does this but we also serve tap if you ask for it. The drought is a serious problem.

I can understand if a restaurant doesn't serve you water w/ out you asking for it....like at most mexican restaurants where they bring it to you as soon as you sit down..other than that..yea..I think its dumb..but not as dumb as those car washes that all of a sudden "recycle water"..riiiiight

I work at chops, and tap water is by request only. Bottled water is half price.

i think you're getting bottled water because it comes from a place that is not in a drought.

i requested it, and was denied. I wonder if they cook their food with bottled wateR?
you should see how many hundreds of thousands of gallons of water we use every day at the brewery (and we conserve as much as humanly possible)

Dasani is a good product, and it wasn't billed in the U.S. billed as a "spring water" like the mountains on Aquafina bottles hinted at which is misleading, although Coke did ponder doing this in Europe.

I'm not a fan of the funky chlorine taste of unfiltered tap water, and I like Dasani's reverse osmosis filtering so I buy it. I also like that they don't overload the product with minerals and calcium to the point that it impacts the taste. It's accessible and I guess I'm to lazy to go and fill my water jugs at a fill station.

The restaraunt should honor your request for tap water or hand you a complementary bottled water though.

The restaurant wasn't Frankie's was it?

a PUR water filter does wonders for the chlorine taste. I had my water faucet filter off for a week and i noticed a huge difference.
