Going to Dallas dragstrip 6-24

A few of us went last Friday to Dallas to run our cars. Anyone else interested? The cost is a whole ten bucks to race and got 4 runs in. gates open at 5:00pm, however we didnt get there until 8:30 or so thats why we only got 4 runs. we had a great time, looking for more wrx's to come out.

1/8 seems too short for me

 

maybe but u can get a lot more runs, than say commerce that is a quarter, which means more practice at launching. I want to get better at leaving the line before i go to commerce or maybe silver dollar. anyway u should come out we had a blast, even met someone else with an sti. he even helped me with my launches.

yes, 1/8 mile ONLY

 

it is quite rural... and there's no room to drive around the water puddle...

 

I may come out... Sounds like a blast...

uh. yeah, is there a nightshot setting on your digicam, chris? And if someone brings a digicamcorder with firewire, I can get it that night on me laptop

Hey I was the guy with the white STI at Dallas met some of you. Thanks for letting me know about the list. Hope to see more out there. Its fun and cheap. Ended up going 8.07 @ 86 mph my best ever

hey mowglie, i'm the one drivin the WRB wagon. nice meeting you there, i had a lot of fun. can't make this one, going out of town. maybe next one.

btw, my best run was my last - 9.69 @ 76.3 mph. my 60 ft time was 2.35, need to work on that. but my reaction time was .09, smoked that mustang at the line!!! haha

but hey it was my first time at the track.

got caught up at work and SOG, so I had to bail on this guys...sorry.

 

i tried deep staging tonight and got a .04 rt.


...but i lost .3 on my 60'. awd launch timing is indeed tricky...

It was nice meeting you guys. I had a horrible night as far as times go. The fastest of the night being a 8.1, I guess I should have brought the computer to change the two step. With that big a turbo even a little bog slows you down alot. I guess we will be back out there next weekend with the launch control turned up.
