Why do you need to install one? the AP takes care of that CEL.

ok, so disconnect the battery ..pump the brakes..

you have to drive the car for a few days to build a history or you wont pass emissions.

So .. do the easy easy mod. reset.. drive around for a few days( 200 miles or so)
    and there you go!

hmm...your profile says that your favorite mod is an accessport. you do know accessport = AP, right?

not sure if the AP will communicate with your car, unless someone on here has a AP for your specific car....

Someone with the same model would have to 'unmarry' their AP for it to work with yours. Isn't hard to do but people who are paranoid about ECU problems would rather not reflash too often :p . Also I'm pretty sure it wouldn't retain the CEL override once you unmarried it from yours, so you'd have to borrow their AP until emissions done.

I would do the resistor mod they linked or contact your uppipe manufacturer for an EGT bung for it. You don't want to have your CEL on all the time - you'd never know if something was really wrong :) like I said AP would only clear it while it was married to it.

i have heard of being done on the lap tops but i have never seen it done.... easiest way would be resistor then take it to a shop and they should turn off the light for you for no charge.. i know my shop will do that so others should...btw... after cel is out you need to do two key cycle and about 100 miles before the readiness motors will be set.... drive the car 50 or so miles and let it cool completely then drive another 50 and let it cool then your good to go!

first. CLEAR the cell using the break pump method.

( disconnect the batt.. pump breaks for a bit)cell should be off
and remain off if you did the resistor mod and GET THE RIGHT resistor

if you did everything right and its not off
then its not the right cell.
