:bowdown:BIG THANKS to Steven (Kingwrex) and LiquidForce for their expert knowledge of subaru's the following could NOT have been pulled off without your expertise and help and most importantly just the right TOOLS. Burch powah FTW thanks FACE for the help. I have made my first move towards a 07 6mt and sold my 5mt with RA gears to ImportRacer689. His was on its way out and was looking for something and it suited his needs. We planned to get this done today and get Mark (importracer689) to work by 3pm. This would include pulling my tranny and his and reinstalling mine into his car. We enlisted the help of KingWrex (Big thanks for moving your install day to my house) LiquidForce, Face, Rome, YoungDZ, Importracer689 and his buddy John. Mark showed up 9am, by 10:45 we had 2 tranny's sitting on the ground. Importracer and his buddy John got down to business guided by the experts listed herein. FACE and the "experts" bouncing back and forth helping us with trannys and YoungDZ get his struts and springs swapped and a few other things as well. Rome got a RSB installed and a noob member got some more rear brakes and a tranny flush to fix some shifting issues. All of the above was complete by 4pm and we even managed to have a few beers throughout the day. Thanks to all for the help and I look forward to then next install day to get my 6mt installed with new DB18G turbo.
damn nice work fellas. i miss the comraderie. i'm thinking H22 swap sometime in the next year, who's down? haha
yeah guys, thanks a lot to mike (liquid force) and steven (king wrex) for the expertise and thanks to everyone for being willing to lay on their back under somebody else's car and turn wrenches. It was nice to meet everybody and i am looking forward to moving to the atl area so i can hang out more. if anybody needs some help and i can make it, let me know. thanks, mark
Thanks Techlord for allowing WRBatl to install my struts in your driveway and it was good motivation for porject MOnster Wagon seeing your beast coming together. I look forward to the 6 speed install! Thanks to Steven, Face, Rome for waking up early to come help me out! Pics will be posted tomorrow!
It is always nice to walk away from a day like this with a little bit of knowledge that wasn't there at the start. A big thanks to Steven (Kingwrx) for the tips on swapping a clutch and getting everything back together. An easier way of doing things is always good.
I usually don't quote entre posts, but i agree with this whole post so much that i have to. Thanks everybody again. and mike, if it takes me awhile to get tuned, and you want that ecu, get my cell number from rick and call me or pm me on here and i will bring it to you
no worries. I have nothing but time. I'd rather you get some new tires before you worry about the tune
Nice see you guys today! Thanks to Mike for hosting this event we got alot done today! Yungdz struts were alot easier to install that I thought especially with the Burchisalfacealexpowah ! I lucked up on the RSB that I was looking for thanks to YungDz! LiquidForce's CAR IS A BEAST < enough said on that one :bowdown::bowdown: And KingWrex is still the man even though he cant tell a front strut and a rear strut apart  jk man!

Got any ringnpinons laying around? I will probably keep one but the other is going on ebay as it still works but has a slight hum.
It was a great time fellas! I think we all did really well in a short time! EDIT: WTF? please see next post...or maybe a mod will delete this one!
It was a great time fellas and cool to see 8 Subys in your driveway Rick! I think we all did really well in a short time and noone had to be towed! It was wonderful to see everyone and to meet those of you I had not meet before! And let me know when you are going to do your 6mt install Rick...maybe I can help break some bolts loose LOL! Thanks to the King and Mike for all the supervision and guidance! Again it was a great time and I learned quit a bit.......5hr labor for struts :hsnono: LOL Looking forward to next time!!! :wavey:
^^^ no it took about an hour and a half...not bad for a couple noobs with a bit of supervision They charge 5 hrs at the dealership right? includes alighment
Sedan, WITH alignment: $483.95, IIRC. thats for SOG. That works out to 5.5. 4.0 for springs/struts, 1.5 for alignment. Wagon: $385.45, 3.0 for springs/struts+ 1.5 alignment. Again, SOG.
i don't know, but i am down, and minus ball joint clench bolts i feel very comfortable working on my car/other cars
^^^ Yeah Im with you I would have no problems doing springs/struts/coilovers....just cant do an alignment!!! LOL And when is the next install day???
I'd like to do a tranny swap, I'm researching the gearset I wanna go with so it could be sooner than you think
