    hey guys,
i just made an appointment to get tuned on 2-21-08 with scott. I have a full invidia tbe, an intake (blitz i was told this weekend but not sure, big metal cone filter), i have an sti catless up pipe to put on it, and an ecutek. other point of interest is an ra gearset cryoed and polished.
what kind of power should i expect, and other than the following, what do you htink i should do prior to tuning?
    1. new spark plugs
    2. check out fuel filter
    3. clean air filter
    4. install up pipe
    5. make sure all EBCS/wastegate lines are tight
    6. check for obvious/major boost leake
    thanks,
    mark

stock turbo I'm guessing? If it were me, I'd get a new intake or put your stock intake box back on, Blitz isn't a great intake, I'd say Prodrive or Injen. Def. get that uppipe in there that will free up mad TQ. I'd say you'll be somewhere around 235-240whp and 235-245wtq....

yeah it is stock turbo and i have heard some things about these intakes like this and i think it will be okay. i would go stock but don't have it and can barely afford a tune after the tranny swap and tires. 240 would make me happy

It would be better to get a Prodrive, Injen, APS, or stock airbox on there. See if you can find a stock air box cheap. The Blitz intakes aren't very good and the filters are HORRIBLE.

The Blitz on that car looks like a lint screen on a clothes drier. You really should ditch it for a stock airbox. In the end the tuner will have to spend less time tuning which leaves more money in your pocket.

Your tuner has spoken, he knows best!

Maybe buy that Perrin EBCS for 40 bucks but you may not need it at this stage. I dunno, I just ask for powah and they give it to me;)
