still looking for a car in my price range. Found this one. Looks like it might have projectors, springs, does have older GC8 wheels. anyone know anything of this car or think it looks decent? still tryin to find something. I kinda like the red.. dunno how it works with insurance though. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220214944710
Nice BUT personally I just cannot buy a used suby with that kind of mileage in fact I am not sure I could buy one used at all unless the price is THAT good. Otherwise it looks like a decent deal at the BIN price and the reserve should be a bit lower.
Looks pretty stock. As JDW mentioned if the oil filler cap is clean, fluids are clean you might be off to a good start. Check for fresh bolt scars to see if all those stock parts weren't just put on. Maintenance records are always a plus. Check the vin. Check undercarriage for paint overlap. My car was rear ended and there was paint spray on the undercarriage. It was in a light fender bender and I noticed it during my once over but they weren't about to tell me until I called them out on it. Last but not least, leak down and compression. See if he's willing to do the barrage of tests. If he is, I would go look at it if your serious and offer him $8500. That is the only way!
that's stupid cheap for an 04! there are not projectors, but they did paint the headlights. also, there is a JDM hazzard button!! good luck with it!
As 2pt5RS put it that is stupid cheap for an 04. Looks like a nice car, I would just take it to have it checked out by a dealer ship. Good luck
my only opportunity to get a subaru is with high miles... I have never owned a car with less than 86k ish when i got it.
It looks like the old Nemesis mobile, lol...... I want to sell mines. as soon as I get the time I am going to detail it and put it up for sale. It has 93k on the clock, but drives damn good. No problems at all, lol.
09/30/2005 GA State Agency ACCIDENT REPORTED (Case #:05133336) 09/30/2005 GA State Agency SEVERE DAMAGE REPORTED I would wonder how sever the damage was. Also looks like a car that was modified then put back to stock to sell.
Doh!!!! ^^^ I was gonna say it looked clean too... But aftermarket boost gauge, painted headlights.. sounds modified. I'd at least take a look, and grill him on the accident and what mods were on it before. Then offer $8k and call it a day... No floor mats though? Geez...
Thats what I thought. I'm pretty sure he had those wheels on there at one time and he did have those foglight covers.
seems every car that's around Atlanta has a severe accident in the past. Oh well. Last 2 at least both had severe accidents on record
yeah i had a severe accident in mine. really depends on the quality of body work (as it does with any vehicle). I'd ask for details/records of the wreck/repairs performed. If they can't produce those then i wouldn't buy it IMHO. My car had (still has) problems after the wreck, even though the repair quality was amazing. Bottom line is a car with that many miles isn't gonna be perfect by any means, but you could still get one for a couple grand more (and probably still in your price range) that hasn't been wrecked.
it is George's old car.. he said accident didnt really do any harm but some other things to watch out for. Will see what's up!
Pfft mine has 120k on the ole clock and still not going strong. But that really hasn't changed since I got it. All I can say is... know what your getting into before you get into it. I thought I was getting a good deal on my car and I have been taking it in the pooper ever since. I don't even want to calculate how much I have spent on my car in the 18 months that I have had it. Good news is that it is running out of stuff to break haha
