So we have truckers on the board? You probably could've bought my dads truck I think he will be putting it up for sale soon. Damn economy. The loads he's been getting offered aren't worth it, he would actually be losing money to take them. I don't know what year, 2004 maybe, but it's a Peterbuilt 379x, 13spd I think, and he got it bumped up to 575 hp and I forget what the torque is now but it was 1850. You probably know the specs better than me.
I would love to but if things were better he wouldnt be sellin. has he looked into pullin for a company? thats what at lot of guyz are doin or just givin up completely. I'm a company driver, and thank God for that now cause its hard on o/o (owner operators) now. They just said today that they are passing a bill for o/o to get 100% fuel surcharge and not the brokers. thinkin bout gettin a dually and hauling cars but the brokers over there are even worse. so I would have to get my own authority.
