04 WRX Wagon with PD Axle-Back Topic (1) Anyone have any experience with Cobb Tuning packages? http://cobbtuning.com/wrx/power-s.html#stage1 Topic (2) I would like a noticable bump in my low-end torque and have read that an up-pipe would help. Thoughts or other suggestions? (Besides buy an STI; ha-ha)
I'm running Cobb stage 2 and noticed a pretty significant bump in torque all over. Up-pipe will certainly help low end too. Alex: have you checked to see if your car has any type of engine management on it? With the #s you pulled I would bet there's something more to the story...
no, i havent checked, i plan on taking my car to SoG sometime this week to see if they'll look at the tranny and while im there ill see if scott can plug it into the delta dash. Alex/WRX-WRC
Havent been looking the last couple months, but I was hitting up to .13mpa's(18.5ish PSI) in 4th and 5th.... Couldn't tell you the boost in lower gears(hard to look at the boost gauge when your holding on for dear life...) It's mad fast
for those that do metric - what is the first tick mark past 1 bar on a factory gauge? That is the highest mine has ever gone and then only in 3rd gear. 15 something? The highest I've ever seen with my buddy's kid holding the ap was 15.6. I figured that was close enough for me.
UpPipe WRX '04 With just adding a uppipe to my stock wrx will there be a noticable difference or do you think it will barely be noticable? Also, where is a good place to have someone do the work; considering quality and price? I am pretty good with a wrench but the instructions on the net appear to make the project between 5 to 6 hours Thanks
Yes, uppipe will make a noticeable difference. Your turbo will spool smoother and faster. Just get some of the WRXatlanta guys together or come to an install meet.. people will be happy to help you with the install. If not, just buy beer and pizza and invite some folks over.
