Hi all, I am looking for couple of 3.0ohm resistors and it seems local stores do not carry these. If anyone have these or know where to buy them, please let me know, thank you.
hmm..interesting..I have had really good luck with radio shack in the past. It might be store specific though..try fryes next
Negative on circuit city Fry's have them, quick question how many watts do you guys think the 3ohm should be? I would assume as long as the rated wattage level is higher than the actual current, I should be good to go?
Also just make sure the resistor will fit on the board/area you are using it in. The higher the wattage the bigger the resistor. Audio Lab of Ga 770 455 0571 http://www.audiolabga.com/
Thanks guys for the help, I think I'm going to go with a smallest resistor to fit inside the air sensor plug, will drop by the Audio Lab thanks to integriod For reference, for those that are getting different seats, you will need these resistors to bypass the side airbags and turn off the airbag light while keeping rest of the SRS system functional
Would a 2.7 ohm 2w resistor work? I have quite a few of these. For Joe's car, I think we paralleled 4 - 12ohm resistors that he found at Radio Shack.
you can't really find 3ohm resistors without ordering them. best bet is to use (3) 10ohm resistors in parallel. I've done this with mine and it will work fine. they have 10ohm @ ratshack
oh cool. how much were they, 10 cents? I have 3 10ohms in mine and it's hard to wire them in. I might go pick some up from them
They are $.50 each, you will need 3.3ohm resistors to work properly, Extend some wires onto the resistor and they will be easier to wire in
Yeah, I have picked up some odd sized resistors, caps, etc from them since the late 80's...THey pretty much have everything you need in stock. You could probably find the resistors cheaper online but after shipping and waiting, it just isnt worth it.
yep, it's about a $.30 each online but the wait is not worth it, plus they are local so that's always a big plus, never knew those stores existed off buford highway right along on the side of 285 thanks again for this great find
