Alright, under suggestion of a few people I'm starting another, more organized thread for this. We're still waiting to decide about a regular date, but as of right now we're planning on a meet for Thursday April 24th at 7:30pm at DC's Martinique Bar and Grill in Stockbridge. The address is: 1757 Rock Quarry Road Stockbridge GA 30082 From atlanta: I-75 S exit Eagles Landing/Hudson Bridge (224), then take a left off the exit, and then another left on rock quarry road and it'll be on your left. We get special treatment! Yay! This place is owned by my Dad, so we could definitely work out a hookup that involves beer and food. I haven't been able to talk to him in full about it, but he was talking about half price pitchers (he just wants everyone to have a DD and get home safely ) and, if the turnout is big enough, a special dinner buffet for us in the summer (it would be like 5 bucks or something). Also, there's a separate part of the restaurant that broadcasts almost every sports event on television simultaneously. They call it "The Sports Zone." He said we could congregate in there if we like. More on this part later. Regarding a regular date: Just to clarify: 2.5rs' every other tuesday meet will continue into the summer. I had stated otherwise. Me=a dumb. I'm looking to pick this up on the off weeks of that meet. There's something pretty much every night of the week. As of now the schedule is: Monday - Trivia Tuesday - Acoustic music by Brian Wilson (not the dead guy from the Beach Boys...this dude is better) Wednesday - DJ Thursday - Brian Wilson once more and Texas Hold'em Friday/Saturday - Live band and DJ Sunday - 'Service Industry night' I'm thinking monday evenings every other week starting the second or third monday in may, since we all love trivia. Everyone let me know what works with the Poll and we'll get some dates down! PLEASE NOTE: Friday and saturday nights are good if we want to stay out till 2am and get hammered as a group )), but they're pretty crazy usually. So if we want to sit around, have a few beers and talk cars, a weekday is probably better for that. Just fyi. And the thread is now a sticky!
bump. For the sake of convenience, sound off if you're coming this thursday. I can provide rides for up to three people if you're coming from downtown/midtown. A small gas contribution is welcome but not required.
Haha, did you guys end up going? Sorry that I wasn't able to join, too much stuff going on this week.
Nobody showed up. It was just me, my friend zach who rode with me, and my Dad. Place was pretty busy though. Hopefully this meet gets a little more attention when we get a regular schedule going.
I didn't see the thread until today with the confirmation that you were meeting. I can meet next time!!
Don't know if this is dead but I would be up for a meet. I'm staying in the stockbridge area, I actually spotted the place today when looking for a place to have beer and watch the Champions League final. I don't know how many other subies are around this area, so far I have only seen a white one thats parked at publix.
BUMP There are a few. There's a guy that shows up a lot on the weekends who drives a bugeye. There's also a loud-ass 07 wagon in the area. I've seen three or four other subies just cruising around. NEW DEVELOPMENT I work at this place now as a manager On Sat, Sun, Mon, and Tues nights. We're open till 12 sunday and 2 on sat, mon, and tues. =I CAN GET US FREE FOOD AND PITCHERS of B33R. I can't go too overboard, but a round of beers and appetizers on the house wouldn't be a problem at all. Our food is pretty nicely priced and we have awesome cheese sticks. I still wanna get a meet going here. Sundays we're going to have a modeling agency hold auditions at our place starting next week. The guy came to us...so that was pretty cool. Post up if you live on the soutside, fools!
Come out!!! I went there I give 5 stars! Excellent place, even if you live outside the stockbridge area make the trip out lets turn this into a big meet. The food is great. I will even buy the first round of beers of your choice if that doesn't sweet'in up the deal....(lets limit that to 3-4 pitchers for the first round)but seriously come out every one i'm going to be there so thats already plus 1. Now...who else???
So does anyone from the southside of town still drive a Subie or what? I've seen one other and ended up having out of state tags. Maybe a meet and greet on this side of town?
What are the chances of getting a group ride or something together? Anyone planning on the ride to Dega on the 15th?
