this woman drove her truck through a family's home killing their 14 year old son and pinning their daughter to the wall. Just when you think nothing like that will every happen to you, it hits close to home. Elliott Savary was my sisters best friend. http://www.ajc.com/cobb/content/met...ed_0609_web.html?cxntlid=homepage_tab_newstab
i know, i havent stopped crying yet. it didnt hit me until it was on the news this morning. i have also been talking to a friend who is a cobb county officer i need some reassurance this woman was going to be put away for a long time.
that not what i wanted to hear! last i had heard she hadnt gotten out yet. i dont know why they didnt set it higher.
now she can go get drunk and kill someone else ... thank you cobb county for being douches! but then again in GA 1st degree vehicular homicide is 3-15 years but you can get away with only serving one depending on the judge.
wow that is such a sad and upsetting story....i can't stand the way the justice system works sometimes...arg!!!!
zach and i are kinda partial to the death pentaly, but then again we cant be objective cause she killed a family friend.
I think she should get it, personally. I've got no pity or mercy for people like her. I've had too many friends die because of drunk drivers.
No, but reguarless she got behind the wheel of a vehicle and drove while intoxicated, taking the risk of killing someone. She's more than old enough to know right from wrong.
This person should have to rot in jail the rest of her life, constantly thinking about the poor kid that she killed. Let that eat away at her conscience for the next 30 years.
you know in this case yes! because from what i was told so far she has no remorse, she was sullen and has no expression at the hearing. i am just glad they raised the bond, now i hope cobb county throws the book at her.
I don't think this should be considered Harsh. I could see a little more lenience if say, she hit someone walking down the sidewalk in front of the bar, or crashed into another car on the road, but there is absolutely no excuse for driving through a house. This kid was asleep in his bed, and she killed him with her car.
she was somewhere with her husband and they got in a fight and she drove off. the news story doesnt say where she was, assuming she was at a friends house.
Horrific to say the least. The family must be absolutely paralyzed with anguish. To go to bed one night, then while everyone is sleeping a family member is abruptly killed by a situation that is probably close to one in a million chance of happening. I am sure as the intoxication clears the perpritrator will realize what she has done. Her life as she knows it is over as well. With that said, just remember, if you have had 2-3 beers, glasses of wine or mixed drinks and have driven within an hour of drinking (depending on body weight), you have commited DUI. Next time you go out to eat or to a bar and you think you did the right thing by cutting yourself off after two or three drinks, by Georgia State Law if you are pulled over and they decide to do a road side sobriety, or you go through a road block, you are done. Sobering aint it!
Holy Fuck... she went off the road FOUR times before hitting the house... and it looks like she went in one end of the house and almost came out the other. That's above and beyond an "accident"... that is intentional negligence. 15yrs is not nearly enough.
I think they missed a zero or two with the initial bail.. maybe they were half way asleep... I dunno. It seemed a good bit off.
the initial bail was set at 8pm sunady night. and the family raised hell as did the community. i am very happy they raised it as is my sister. but no matter what they do it wont bring this wonderful little boy back.
well after looking into it, this one isnt her first DUI or reckless driving and CC thought it was bets to keep her behind bars to keep people safe. they should have denied it but then again vehicular homicide is a different beast.
