I've been thinking about selling the STi and getting an XT for a loooong time and I'm on the edge of doing it. With all the biking, traveling, and home repair I do, having a car that doesn't even have folding seats is dumb. The biggest problem with my plan is that they're VERY hard to find and I don't want to go through the trouble of selling my STi. Does anyone know of an XT for sale? Does anyone want to buy an STi with only 32K?
Im in a 09 forester right now...not an XT but I have to say its very nice! I would get one if I was looking for that class of car!
Fro some reason I was looking at this yesterday. It looks ultra clean. It is kind of far away but these things aren't easy to find. Anyway...good luck on your search I love the XT's! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Suba...25042185QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item170225042185&

Ha, I would love an 05 Sti but I am still quite happy with the bugeye. I doubt you are looking for a new car, but I think the 09 Foresters are hot!
I was looking for '05 and up if at all possible. The interior is different. And certainly no auto. Blah.
Pimp, but I'd have to sell the STi in time so probably wouldn't happen: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1526884&highlight=forester This is awesome, but alread pending sale: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1483603&highlight=forester
What are you asking for the STI? Really a longshot but I know someone who is looking for one... if your serious I'll let him know..
I'd put the wheel on the forester. I mean why not...its the same just with a different badge on the airbag.
I don't know... what are they going for? I haven't thought that far into it yet. It would probably be in stock form because I think what few parts I have will transfer over. Unless he wants it to come with some small things... otherwise: 32K, silver on silver... super clean inside and out. Just let him know and see what he says.
Will do... I'd be willing to bet he'd appreciate all mods if it went thru(If he doesn't I'll change his mind).. No idea what its worth though, can you give me a ballpark to tell him?
Looking around it seems as if they're in the 20-24 range depending on miles. I guess I'd ask $22K stock. If he wants these parts then 23. That's pretty aggressive considering the miles and condition because I want to do this quick. My mods: JDM Pinks RCE lowering camber plates 27/29 FSB SS lines SPT 3" cat-back Bell-mouth shorty DP AP v1 (tuned by SS for low boost and proper A/F ratio) nothing serious. Just a few things to tighten it up. I have all the stock parts too.
I will relay to new info.. allready told him and he's gonna figure out how much he can afford... Thats an awesome price though, I'll put some heat on'm for ya!!
I can vouch for the awesomeness of this ride. But Mike, who will kick my ass in STU if you go? P.S. Dibs on suspension.
Thanks Scotty... you know, I thought of a mod that you could do. Make that two. An H6 rear brake upgrade and a roof scoop. The roof scoop being the ultimate mod!
I have an '04 XT 5MT. It seems those are some of the most popular because of the available mods. the '05 and up have some different body moldings but mostly the same. www.subaruforester.org is a good place for knowledge and cars for sale. Although, many of them show up on the West coast. Dont even think about the auto unless you just have to have one. The 5MT is just so much more fun. Bonus: almost ALL of your engine mods will install in the Forester, many suspension and other parts interchange also. In fact take a stock 04 XT. Install a VF39, STI TMIC, STI UP, and a nice Cat back and go spank you some stock STI ass!:naughty: The 5MT is geared lower and IIRC the Fozzies are about 300lbs lighter. Dont ask me how, but Ive read it in a few places. Double bonus: No one messes with you on the road cuz your in a wagon!
I'm with you on this one. I hate having to use my girlfriends Mazda3 to go get lumber. When I get a new car, I think I'm going to go with the Mazdaspeed3 (that is, if the seats fold down). D-Stock, baby! Good luck with the search.
I believe it's 5x100 I believe it's 5x100 :wiggle: And there's a guy running around atlanta in a monster FXT. Someone on here got left at a stoplight by him several months ago. He said the exhaust was happily spitting flames with each upshift. Those things can haul ass with the right mods. Good luck with your search!
Same as the WRX/STI up to '04. 5x100 The Fozzies didnt change when the STi did. Wheel offset is +48 but there are plenty of cars on 17" running between +45 up to +48. Im running a set of Rotas I got off a guy with a WRX and have no issues.
FAIL on my part. Sorry in my haste I mixed my XT and STi facts up in my head. :wavey: Sorry guys. See my post above. I do know of some people who swap STI struts with all the hub hardware to install their rotors and brake calipers, but its extensive. Youre better off using some WRX stuff and brackets from Kartboy on the rears and just installing the correct bolt patter rotors. And yes, the XT can fool you quick. I just wish they let the FSTi into NA. :wtc:
