Morning :wavey: Ive ordered several of the more popular flexfit styles to test out. I ordered each one in a different color: black, royal blue, brown and white. They will be here either at the end of this week or by the middle of next week. Ill pick the style I like the most (the differences seem to be quite minimal really) and go from there on starting a WRXAtlanta.com hat group-buy. We will not have the same problem as the winter gear thread for several reasons: (1) Supplier was not out of stock; (2) we have the embroidery machine; (3) we have the software we need. Are there any other clothing items in particular I should be looking at for the summer for everyone? Polo's, shop shirts, regular t's (which we're working on a new shirt design and affordable silk screening right now), etc. Your loving admin,
I am debating what color they should be -- we've done blue and black; I was thinking either white or gray.
Matt just has a lot of wife-beaters. I'd like to see a nice polo-type shirt please. Grey is very good in that also.
I don't really like the flex fit hats (I'm assumeing you are talking hats) because they hurt my forehead after while...maybe its my big head. I would vote for Gray or White...I like white because they are much cooler and dont should your sweat like gray does...if your worried about sweat stains get you some Shout I also want to get several stickers for all the loaner cars Im driving :wiggle:
In the end higher quality = higher initial cost = higher price tag for everyone. Always have that trade off
How about a more breathable material like the nike dry-fit stuff. I think it would be a poly-blend. The bike shop has some in black and grey from Zorrel if you want to see some in person. I'd wear a T more in the summer, but wear polo shirts a lot. I'd be down for either, and like the grey.
Where the hell is my winter gear??? I need some shirts and hats in various colors. hit me up with what is in stock.
I would be down for a darker grey colored shirt. And as far as hats go, I consider myself an aficionado. And the flex fit hats suck. Because if you like your hats to last and wash them like I do then you will notice that after as few as two washes the elastic starts to tear and will poke through the bands and eventually stab you in the head. I hate my flex fits and would vote for paying a couple extra bucks for a variety of fitted sizes. But a I would definitely buy one or two fitted hats.
I agree the flex fits rule if you never wash them but as much as I sweat that is not an option. Flex fit FTL
I wash mine not because I get sweaty, but because I get them dirty, always touching them with dirty, oily hands. Ha, my drift empire hat has a splooge of oil under the bill from wearing it during changing my oil.
Ill look into the tru-fits for a couple people as well... I dont wash my hats really, if they get to the point where they're getting gross I'll replace it.
Any shirts you get I'm in, grey and white whatever. Flex Fit sucks and you have to replace them soon. Fitted hats FTW. Might not be very cost effective. With you having the embroidery machine if you decide to go with the FlexFit because of price maybe those of us wanting fitted hats can provide you with some fitted hats for a special order. Lids.com has a good selection of blank fitted hats.
The goal is to not have hats cost $15 each before embroidery I have a couple other contacts I found, Im trying to get some additoinal information from them.
Hats just arrived, should be done embroidering them this week. I have noted the request for tru-fit hats and I will find a source for them for those who refuse to wear flexfit for whatever reason
I am sorry to inform you, but there is a minimum acceptable coolness factor required to display wrxatlanta stickers. Unfortunately, due to the ghetto-ness of your vehicle, you are ineligible for a sticker upgrade. Thanks, Management
What if we were to buy our own fitted hats of our own color, size, style preference, etc. And brought them to you to have embroidered? What would you charge? Or maybe you only want certain colors out there, same question still applys. If I bought a black blank in my size and gave it to you, would that work?
Could be an option. I tried embroidering one yesterday but the tension on the machine was incorrect, so it did not come out right. I may have found a source for the fitted hats as well.
Well I found a decent contact for getting them at affordable prices -- Which style hat do people prefer? The current popular "on field" hat with the flat brim or what? I would realistically need a dozen people to pre-order a hat. This would allow me to purchase a dozen for a qty discount.
Shouldn't we be switching back to a winter gear thread? I still need a knit cap!! A long sleeve tee would be cool as well....10th street jdm, WRXatlanta, doesn't matter to me, just need some gear...
