Well, probably just he main island, Tortuga. Heading there in Oct. (hurricane season, i know:eek:hnoes:) The 2 smaller islands seem pretty hard to get to. No ferries go between them, just small airplanes.
Has anyone been? It's a fairly small island, so finding stuff to do might be more of a challenge. I'd love any input, even if it's from a friend or family member. Snorkeling and diving are the main attractions for the island, is there one spot that's better/less traveled we should find? What's the best bar?

I have plenty of time to gather info.
    Cheers!

i've been there. it's a pretty cool place. I wasn't there long enough to really scout a whole lot, but they have a really nice reef to snorkel/dive. there's a senor frogs there, and don't forget to get some rum cakes and $7 rum.
i saw a cool RHD skyline while i was there :)

yeah bring us back some rum. i cant remember how much you are allowed,i think its like a few handles per person. but its a pretty sweet deal. not only the rum but everything. you can get a bottle of absolute for like 10 bucks where its like 20 or 25 in the states.

Remember that if you're bringing "duty free" back with you to place it in your CHECKED LUGGAGE!!!

You cannot bring liquids out of the "secure" area of customs/immigration.

At last check it was two bottles (1L each). They rarely mess with you though. Declare everything. Be honest. You'll probably not even get checked.

i just got back from a two week trip that had stops in Copenhagen, Tampere (Finland), Stockholm, and Paris.

i blasted through immigration and customs without a second look.

last fall my wife and i were coming back from seattle and she wanted a bottle of wine for our anniversary. so we tried to carry it on (i knew it wasn't goiong to work, but choose your battles) so the guy let us go back out of security and drink it. we were just sitting in the airport pounding a bottle of wine with out glasses. good times!

this is what WikiTravel has to say about Drink:
Alcohol is very expensive on the islands, even from the liquor stores. You can expect to pay approximately twice as much in the liquor stores as you would at stores in the United States, however it is still the cheapest way to purchase alcohol.
Typical drink prices in bars and clubs range from $4-$7 CI ($5-$8.75 US).
Liquor stores close at 7PM, and are closed on Sundays.
Visitors flying into the Cayman Islands are able to bring either 1 bottle of duty free spirits, 4 bottles of wine or champagne, or 1 12 pack of beer per person 18 years of age or older. Exceeding this duty allowance will result in substantial taxation to the excess items.

i thought this sounded odd myself. the Caribbean is the place TO go for cheap rum punch and mai tai's. and plantain chips!
