Just doing the injectors and walbro 255 lph pump this Saturday. I plan on starting around 10 am or so. Anyone that has any experience or just wants to swing by to lend a hand is welcome. Pm me for directions or my number. Still waiting on the pump to get here, but it should be here by Thursday at the latest.
Eh, put the car on blocks or jack stands and take all 4 wheels off, remove the calipers, then pop the rotors loose and run them up to the local brake place. I really don't have an optimal location for multiple cars to be worked on at the same time...the driveway is just not flat enough to have a second car on jacks. This is mainly just to get my injectors and fuel pump installed. If anyone wants to come watch and learn a bit, they are more than welcome. Simple things that don't require the car to be on stands could even be worked on...top mount install, intake, bov, etc.
Thats the plan, lol. I am hoping that my apartment complex won't mind, lol. I amy come by to watch and learn for sure!
Well got the fuel pump and the injectors in today. The injectors turned out pretty darn good. They all flowed in the 820's and had less than 1% difference from one to the next. So it is definitely on this weekend.
Honestly I had not thought about it. Usually I just keep old parts around unless someone wants to buy something.
We are trying to diagnose what is wrong with my roommates wagon. We think its the pump, but doesn't make sense that an 03 wagon fuel pump jacks up...
If he wants to try to swap it out, tell him to bring it out and he can check with my old one. Or upgrade with Mike's
Well, I grabbed 4 cases of beer in anticipation of someone showing up, lol. Again, for those of legal age. Hope to see some of you guys out there, pm me for directions or my number.
I will try to make it out if I don't have to work. Could you pm me since I'm on the iPhone and pm's are not easy...cough cough Alex...
Do I need to bring anything (specific tools, etc....)? Otherwise, I'll see you sometime around 10 (though it'll probably be closer to 11).
3/8", 1/4" rachet, long extension 12mm wrench 10, 12, 14mm sockets plier zip ties PB blaster That is the list of tools that are called for. The only thing I don't have, but can get if I need to are the long extensions. I think I have most everything else. If you know of anything that I need, please let me know
Aight folks, got the engine bay washed down this morning earlier...letting everything cool down before I get started. Sounds like we have 1 or 2 folks coming. If anyone else wants directions, just let me know. I'll be checking my pm's and this thread before I get down to it here in about an hour. After that I probably will not, so let me know soon.
