I was on my way to pick up one of my friends and my car broke down, in the rain, in his neighborhood. It's the battery, and this is the second time the battery has died in a month even though my car is 2 years old and only has 20K miles, so I'm assuming I need a new battery. Are there any "good" batteries?

As my friend and I were coming out of the neighborhood (in his car), I saw a black STI stalled right outside of it. This was on Spalding and I am pretty sure that car belongs to this kid at my school. Just thought I would share the irony of 2 WRXs breaking down within a quarter mile of eachother.

  2. I live really close to spalding...i think its that Black STi from somewhere inside Neely Farms

I am prety sure it's this kid from my school that has an STI. If Neely Farms is a town home complex, then it could be the same kid.

BTW, I go to NSHS. Where do you go?

  4. Well theres a town home complex right next to Neely Farms...its near Brunswick and Golds Gym.

    NSHS?

G.A.C.S-Greater Atlanta Christain School (yes...a private school..)

Oh, this STI was on Spalding by Peachtree Dunwoody and the kid whose car I think it is lives close to there somewhere on Mt. Vernon. He doesn't even have a license and his dad lets him drive a 2005 STI.

    back on topic.....

$81 and only 13lbs. I've had one in my STi for over a year w/o any problem. I have a removable sub too.

Why would you want a 50# battery vs a 13# battery?

Both are dry cell so you can mount them in any position. If you have 20 subs in teh back seat get the optima..if not get the lighter one....most likely cheaper too. ;)

if you lost two batteries in a year, i think the alternator seems like a better place to start than your battery as said above. It's probably not charging properly...

No, I didn't lose two batteries, I still have the original one in.

It's the pulley I believe and so did numerous people I talked to. Even Vishnu said that it was the pulley as they said it prevents the battery from fully recharging.

Look into an exide orbital battery. I am much happier with it than the optima yellow p.o.s. i had. It's smaller too!

If your pully is smaller in diameter then yes, that is your problem.
