Hello to the ATL! I'm new here from NJ and will be arriving on Monday. Looking for a place in Decatur to live in. I won't have my car until maybe Tuesday so I'l have to figure out a way to get around Decatur to look at residences. Anyone free that day? :rofl: 1. Decatur 2. AJ 3. 06 WRX TR in OBP 4. Not very. It's running an opensource gabedude stage 1 tune. I'm not trying to do too much with it. Saving up for that Vantage 8. Of course! 9. I live in Decatur! Welcome! I don't know what you are looking for to live in (house, condo, ect.) but if you are thinking an apartment or a townhouse, I recommend checking out The Gables at Rock Springs. Berzerklo: Thanks. I've been working with a company trying to find places, viewing them online, picking out which ones I like, and checking them all out in one day. After that, just picking the one I want and signing the lease. Hopefully that will go well. I've taken a liking to the following: Archstone at Decatur Crossing, Avery Glen, Clarion, Jackson Square, Orleans of Decatur, and Gables Montclair. I will have to check out Rocksprings, too. There is a pretty nice community right across from the VA hospital on Clairmont, 2 minute drive from Emory. I lived there when I first moved down here. Can't remember the name off the top of my head, but it is literally right across from the VA hospital.
I want to send a big thanks out to Sean, oneiguy, for everything he did for me yesterday. He picked me up from the airport, took me around to view a few residences, and gave me advice on finding a place. I never had to go find my own place before and he was a tremendous help. He was even trying to negotiate with the realtor for me, haha. Awesome, awesome guy. And he has a wonderful daughter as well. I'm glad to be a part of this community. If I can contribute half as much as Sean did for me, I'll be sure to cure cancer. I also am going to try to make the gokarting on Monday night. Thanks for everything again. Really glad to be here and have a group of guys I can turn to, since I know no one in this city. Feel free to hit me up for anything as well. Oh, by the way, I ended up at Gables at Rock Springs. The online reviews for management were awful but I figured that won't be a huge deal. Turns out I'm already having problems as they said the place would be ready by 12 PM today (cleaned, new carpets in) and wasn't by 12:30. Incompetence. Well, hopefully it works out. Gables Montclair had no available places, and it's far too expensive. Avery Glen was great and extremely affordable, but had nothing until October 1, not to mention the power lines running over your roof.

Welcome to the community, we dont have any other Emory members off the top of my head. However there's a good cadre of us over here at Tech so you'll see some of us driving around that side of town on occasion.
