I was just wondering if any of you were going to Dragon Con 2008 and if so, what costume you are going to be wearing if you do have one. It starts Thursday, lasts till Sunday or Monday I think. I'll probably go as Neo. I'm working though all those days except Sunday. So I'll probably come over Saturday at 11 or midnight. Also: All hotels are sold out this weekend. http://www.dragoncon.org/
Im working this weekend or I'd be there again. Not so much for the Con but for the people watching! If you've never been, I suggest going for Friday and Saturday evening and checking it out during the day too. it's utter chaos.
My GF, Cathy (she drives Mr Jiggles) is going to be there as a vendor for her company, God Save the Queen Fashions. You'll probably see some of her costumes there as well. Anyway, if you are in the dealer's room say hi to her, she would love to hear from some fellow Subaru onwers.
Indeed we do. Actually the name comes from the shifter boot: its one of those old "accordion" style ones that jiggles with engine vibrations, hence "Mr. Jiggles."
I was going but ended up having to work. My friend Meg is going in support of her comic, which I think is called "I Feel Twitchy".
yea, but its worth every penny if you go at night to check out all the madness. That is if you like to people watch, the best you'll ever find.
My Anime club will be there but I dont know what they are coming as. The year b4 last we went as samurai 7. And yes ppl watching is great too
I might cruise by on my way to work to see if I can spot people who come in to eat. I do not know why, but a lot of dragoncon people stop in...
I'll probably go Saturday night with some friends and people watch in the hotel lobbies (and drink). Did that last year, fun times.
ME! it's funny cause I was the shortest person but also the heaviest and hottest with all that metal on.
Nope. My son is 9 and my daughter is 6. They want to go back next year dressed. Their favorites were the ice climbers from Mario Smash Brothers
I went as neo from the matrix. I was surprised to have somebody take a picture of me. Somebody with an airsoft gun pointed it at me so I bent backwards for the famous bullet time scene. Lots of people gathered to take a quick pic. It was a blast on Sunday and I saw Mindless Self Indulgence play which was also amazing. There was a little kid there that had a transformers cardboard box costume that would actually transform into a tank when he sat down. And I really really really really really want to get a storm trooper outfit for next year. I am definitively going to take the weekend off next year to attend all four days.
