Was stock as of about a month ago. I just picked it up from topspeed and
got the siegel treatment after putting in a GT35R (UR kit), Cobb ss catback,
perrin fmic, 850cc injectors, 255lph fuel pump, cobb ap, and avcr.

I've been putting around all weekend with peak 417hp :eek:hnoes:
It runs silky smooth! (thanks scott and topspeed crew!)

I love the exhaust tone. It rumbles nicely below 4k. When it's in full boost
it sounds like a jet taking off!

Ok now the picts... (sorry, shoddy iphone picts)

I guess theres no looking back. I've got lots of nice STI parts to sell to
    help recoup the costs :p

I'm not sure - you'll have to check with siegel or doug about that. 600?
I love the rumble up to 4k. In fact it feels stock-ish up to 4k except the
rumble. Then when it hits boost it's like a stout kick-in-the-face with lots of
noise from air rushing into the intake and rushing out the pipe. Sounds kind of
like a jet taking off

500whp is the limit with stock short blocks. We have done once before 590whp. But not suggested.

I drove 50 miles up to north ga and locked in cruise control at exactly 80mph.
I got an amazing 28.5 MPG!!! Theres a total incline from my house to the destination too.
I stayed out of boost. AVCR indicated max 0.30 mm/hg and 33% throttle max.
When the car was stock, I never got over 20mpg and typically get on average 16-17mpg.

Now i'm getting 23-24 mpg. The first tank was 12mpg haha :D

I think I got 25-26 at 80mph to Leeds AL. At least by the AP V2. Is that what you were using?

Yes it was an AP v2, but with a pro-tune by siegel. If I locked in at 70mph,
even at a good incline I was getting over 30. It's amazing.

Damn, when I came into this thread and looked over the posts i was saying to myself 'with all that power I wonder how long its going to last.'

Sucks man, hopefully you can get a good amount for it. If the otor is still good theres a good chance it wont be totaled. lets pray its not. But if it is and you can buy it back for a decent amount you could easily get your monies worth with the brakes, motor, turbo, tranny, etc. It'll just take time to sell.

Thanks everyone for all the comments

It was my brother. We were in shock. Still in shock.
Actually it was very surpising - it all happened so fast. We were'n't going fast either.
It's the combination of a big turbo, a cold morning, and brand new
    not-broken-in-not-warmed-up R comps.
Actually I HOPE it gets totaled. I have new car replacement with all-state.

Has anyone had to make a claim with their "new car replacement" rider before?

Also, has anyone here every bought a salvaged car back from the insurance
before? I'm sure they'll know the value at an auction... i'm just wondering
how much it's really worth and how much they'll sell it to me.
That is IF they total it. :sx:

This too shall pass, although it sucks ass! The lesson here is never let anyone drive your car, unless it's The Siegel!
I hope your next project if it is a rebuild of this one, or a differen't car be even more phenominal!

With the economy as it is, I'm going to have to put the check back into my
business. Unless they MAKE me get an 08 sti. who knows.

Either way I'm going to miss the 07 limited monster

Dood this sux, glad you are okay. Get your aftermarket shit off of that car asap, if you don't buy it back...Hell tell them you will give them back the replacement parts. Basically it comes down to they pay off the receipts you have or let you get the stuff off. Where did you have it towed?

There is a young lady on here she just posted under classifides but I can't see the damn post anymore. She is selling a 98 or 1999 2.5 RS, I think this is the year. It looked clean as hell. I believe it was around $8k. This would be a killer daily driver, affordable project car, really fun cars, keep you in a Suby within budget, low insurance, good on gas until you modify the crap out of it:). Just my idea.

Tereance, greg and I are expert junk yard swappers. For the cost of a few aftermarket parts off your ride I'm sure we'd be willing to help you get your parts swapped out.

Werd! Tell them you need to remove parts that DID NOT COME ON THE VEHICLE. All you have to do is replace the big visuals, motor...tranny...wheels...seats. Yank your ECU, turbo, turboback, etc. Take those wheels off and put some nasty wheels on.

Trust me, take all you can, lol.
