If I just flash a new program on the car, but don't redo the entire ECU, how long does the program stay on?

I'm about to leave for Savannah and I wanted to load the fuel map, but just as a flash. Will it stay loaded until I turn the car off? I want to keep my base map as stage 2, and don't feel like crawling up under the dash and messing with the pins.

    Thanks

the 'real time' map stays as long as the ECU is not reset/losses power.

does that mean turning off the car or unplugging the battery?

resetting the ECU with the AP/SSM2/SSM3/other or unhooking the battery.
